If it's hard for you to believe then that's your lookout as it's wrong!

The vast majority are capable of working for it - and a lot could help themselves by not spewing out kids. We have one daughter. I would like more children but we made a concious decision not to because we can't really afford to and it would potentially mean moving house for more space a tighter squeeze on the purse strings and possibly my daughter missing out on things. Lots of other would be parents choose a different course and they are entitled to but I still fail to see why I should pay for that decision.

Where is the incentive to work for 40 hours to get eg £200 per week if they can get £150 p/w for doing nothing? Make them earn it and all of a sudden that £50 to try and better themselves seems far more appealing.

80 years ago today a party won an election with almost 50% of the vote, they blamed and exterminated the sub-normals, poor, political opponents, the itinerants, the slavs, the populas still had no work, money, luxuries or food, the wealthy did, castles, mansions, luxuries, opulance, social standing mostly earned by accident of birth. Then moved on to the Jews, have to have scapegoats do the rich. In todays times it's the Eastern European, who's that, the Pole, Kosovan, they have mobile phones you know, the muslim, the asian. But lets not worry William and Kate are nice people. Your views my friend are dangerous

I'm illustrating the point that the more fans buy STs or turn up on the day, the more we can spend on players. 20,000 sold at an average of £300 each brings in £6m before the season even starts.

But unfortunately BSB unless we were to make something amazing happen during pre season for example we sign Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi then unfortunately most of our fans who have been away for so long won't bother coming back until we start having some relative success, example the JPT..

I am not sure if you are being obtuse or really are just pretending to be simple for the sake of it - ACL don't need it as they don't get it as its not theirs to have - it belongs to Compass. If CCFC want it they would have to talk to Compass and explain to them how they "deserve" it.

Also if the sales increase so would CCFC's 80% of the profits - it is not a straight £100k it is ACL's profit from the match day f&b so it could go up as well as down.

Good luck with social housing 200 years ago, the British worker earned the right to affordable social housing after the Second World War, which is why they voted for a Labour government, didn't vote to have it all sold off so that property speculators could make money from the lack of it.

A lad I went to school who's a proper communist (he'd make lordsummerisle look like Richard littlejohn) bought his moms old council house for 4 grand 20 odd years ago just sold it and brought 2 houses with the profit, ones in Kissimmee. He still hates thatcher more than you that's your average socialist for you!

Think you're missing the point. The rent and revenue was never deemed a problem in the Championship until SISU mismanagement got us relegated to an even worse league.

The point is that, whatever league we're in, larger crowds would help everybody. However, having to pay a large rent without s share of ancillary revenues makes reducing ticket prices unsustainable, therefore less revenue to ACL as well from reduced crowds.

The only team able to spend more in such a case would be Wolves if they go down again.

You hear the expression in Football a lot "The last few games are final's" but yet if the club said that we wouldn't get anymore fans then what we get now, except for on two occasions, The last home game of the season (At a push) and a Play-Off home leg tie...

A lot of "poor" housing a 100 years ago were tied housing, tied to jobs where the bosses really had you by the short and curlys,, ask for a rise you risked your home, get a rise your rent went up, complain about your working conditions you risked losing your home. sacked you lost your home, workplace folded you lost your home or it passed to creditors who put the rent up. Things are better now as Mr Cameron and the Eton boys are looking out for us. Fuel up, utility bills up, food bills up, pension age highered, pension pots raided, benefits axed, services axed, hospitals closing, schooling privatised, but don't cap the banks it will harm the Eton boys, sorry the City. Never mind though we will soon be voting to leave the Euro as it is Johnny foriegner to blame.

I'm saying I can see clearly why they didn't take up the option in the first place and if it was my money I would struggle to see a reason to buy the share now.

I can't be bothered to look up what our current turnover is but say its £4.5 million for next season with 60% FFP we will have a budget of £2.7m which is going to be £1.5m lower than this year. Okay we are going to struggle to get out of league 1 with that budget but we still have a club. The question is whether supporters deep down will be happy as a permanent fixture in league 1. I would suggest with the amount of moaning that's gone on this season they won't. Then in the same breath they are saying lets start again down the memorial park.

Do people want the club to survive but be a mid table league 1 outfit? ( we are there anyway) or start again in the aluminium ladders league down the park?

I can't see another option as ACL/CCC have moved as much as they are going to but unfortunately for CCFC it's not enough to be odds on (supposedly) promotion contenders.

Thats the system don't blame your friend for using the system to his maximum advantage
. communist, socialist, desciptive names nothing more. I bought my house years ago at market rate and sold it recently at todays market rate. The difference as i see it today is those who have, don't want us to have either, don't want you lot playing golf at 2 in the afternoon. Try getting a full time job above minimum pay, try saving 10% deposit for a chance, just a chance to buy your own house, you will have to rent, lose your job go back to mums , heaven forbid you having a couple of kids and claiming benefits, we'll reduce that and if you have a 3 bedroom house and only nee 2 we'll reduce your benefits.

Well 2 years before winning the old third division we were in a very similar league position as now. Our average attendance at that point was 10k, actually lower than now. The average shot up by 16k by just going from mid table div 3 to top div 3.

If anything our support base is more loyal now.

Out of interest does anyone have the time and inclination to find and post the turnover (revenue) of every team in div 1 for comparison purposes so we can all understand where CCFC sits in the revenue table?

SBTaylor, ACL is not a quango. You may be able to use google to find an example of a limited company that was once a quango or vice versa but that still doesn't make ACL a quango.
You call it a charity in other posts. Confusing use of terms = obfuscation.

Quango: a quasi nongovernmental organization; an organization that is financed by the government yet acts independently of the government.

Certainly fits the bill.

Yes but we weren't in the sorry state that the club finds itself in then to what we are now, nothing about CCFC at the moment will convince to bring fans back.. Our home form is poor, we have no manager, there looks to be little belief around the club that we can achieve the play-offs and that's not to mention all the off field publicity!

It is derisory term mainly applied in the 80's to a lot of think tank and advisory bodies.

The council is local government and funded by the taxpayer so it is applicable enough.

Now who on the 17th December said this...

"Oh because of course the money that the council put into the stadium project came out of the sky didn't it? Yes, as someone who contributes to a local authority, to see that local authority's investment being treated with disdain and ingratitude by CCFC is an embarrassment. We are getting near Pompey territory in terms of riding roughshod over our agreements.

I want to see ACL force us out."

'Socialists' backing a Mayfair Hedge fund rather then the elected representatives of the people of Coventry and the long term interests of the City-- who'd of thunk it.

Yep - correct. Where there does it say "I want CCFC to go under" - perhaps I am being blind because I can't read it.

Your search will go on longer than the fruitless hunt for WMD in Iraq

I can put more spin on it too.

Proletariat club (back by bourgeoisie) I've support for the majority of my life or bourgeoisie council that is known to break it's principles (New Labour etc.)... Who do I go for? :thinking about:

See 'comrade', we can tell our own different story when we put a little bit of spin on it.

A lock out is effectively closure as fixture fulfilment means closure. This was pointed out to you at which point you declared that I made you feel sick.

Many posters interpreted the comment to mean you would be prepared for the winding up of the club if ACL did not get the "reasonable" £1.2. million rent. You made no attempt to counter this view and in fact went again on the attack the following week demanding ACL wind the club up.
