The reasons against the Butts park are numerous.
The game of Rugby is far harder on the playing surface than Football, and if played on it on a weekly basis it would turn into a mud pile.
The police might not approve on the grounds that the area might not be suitable for increased parking and the congestion it may cause.
Would it have the capacity to hold the potential gates, away fans, and cup games ?
Would the "Football league" approve it as suitable, in the long or short term ?
The loss of gate revenue would probably be far greater, than paying the rent on the Ricoh, making the financial situation even worse.
No! the sums do not add up, not for me anyway, others may present a different view???
Anybody who would go to watch coventry play outside of the city should think why they started supporting the team in the first place. If the criteria to supporting a team is that they are within 30 miles of coventry then surely everybody would have chosen villa, west brom etc. who you could argue have been far more successful then coventry in both the short and long term. The reason we chose coventry was not because they were the most successful team within 30 miles, but it is where we come from, live we are supporting our local team and community. Anybody who travels outside of the city puts the future of a coventry football team in serious jeopardy.

The reason I support Coventry City, is because Coventry is my home Club, I lived and breathed in a family with CCFC heritage, then I moved to Devon (Unfortunately), I will keep watching my club wherever we go..
Another big factor for me is my son who lives and breaths Coventry City. What do I tell him?
I'd go if we relocated, if they want to move 50 Miles South then I would be truly over the moon (Not as much over the moon if we stayed at The Ricoh) let say for example Sixways Stadium, 12,068 Capacity within the 50 Mile Radius that the Football League require, groundshare with Worcester Warriors!
Are you a Worcester lad Rob?

Simple question.....
If CCFC were to relocate to an alternative venue outside of the City say Hinckley, Birmingham, Nene Park etc would you go to our new "home" ground?
I wont
No mate it isn't, everyone is calling me Rob though, this is something I am going to have to address..
It's all according where it is and how long for. I travel anyway. If it was too far then no, I don't think so.
However, I'm hoping that it'll all be sorted come August and PH4 will be standing in the middle of the pitch being cheered by a full house.
Sorry, my mistake!
It's been a good many years since we attracted 32,000 crowds every week, a little ambitious?
Tell him the truth, while you are at it tell it to yourself too, see if you believe it atlast.Another big factor for me is my son who lives and breaths Coventry City. What do I tell him?
i am preying that its a bluff by SISU and that they think they will not have to make this decision at the end of this debacle, life is going to be so difficult if SISU are still in ownership going forward.
Yes I d go and you can hurl as much abuse as you like.
I d just treat every game as an away day.
Pusb

Its an absolute relief that fans are voting in this manner. It may only be a small poll but if representative sends a clear message to the morons at SISU central !! It would mean gates of around 3,000 maximum and more like 2000 on a cold Tuesday in December !
Coventry City is dead....Choose your moment and don't tell him until you are 100% sure City will be outside the boundaries of the city.
