Turned on the BBC and they have the press conference on.

Seems like Krystillnacht anniversary was celebrated.

Saw earlier that israel was going to send some planes to pick up the israel supporters.
looks like they were provoking a little though. Ripping flags down and looking for trouble.
Ironically Ajax are Predominantly jewish club but apparently two factions of their supporters have been clashing recently mainly over palestine I believe.

Other reports say they sang anti Gaza songs during the minutes silence for Valencia and attacked a local taxi driver.

It's football violence,

There was no trouble in the Ajax stadium, they have a strong Jewish connection anyway (nickname Super Jews).

There's two big buckets of very strongly concentrated Islamic areas in Amsterdam. One starts effectively where the Ajax stadium is and runs south, the other is on the west of the city.

These people commit a large amount of the crime in the city, and regularly kick off in big groups. I am not in Amsterdam at the moment, but this has come as absolutely no surprise to me at all. It was obviously going to happen.

@Como dear boy, so what is your opinion on people who burn flags, attack taxi drivers, disrespect silences for flood victims are sing songs like "there are no schools left in gaza because there are no kids left in gaza"

From what I have seen this had very little to do with Football, the Rioters were not at match.

answer the above @Como or some people think you are just a vile and pretty sick racist who has jumped the gun and is now looking pretty foolish.

So as it's a given there are no good guys in the violence in Amsterdam what is your opinion on people who burn flags, attack taxi drivers, disrespect silences for flood victims are sing songs like "there are no schools left in gaza because there are no kids left in gaza"

You've got no idea what you are talking about as per usual.

Some fans were being twats in the build up to the game, but gangs of Muslims were literally going around hunting down anyone in the city they thought were Jewish and attacking them - most of whom were not football fans or had anything to do with the singing. In a few cases they asked them to provide identification and then kicked the shit out of them anyway.

you also still can't read as I have clearly said there are no "good guys"

stay off the booze kid

I haven't been drinking, I have a match tomorrow. Nice deflection though.

I never said there weren't some Maccabi fans causing trouble beforehand, I just said that as is quite common in Amsterdam (and Rotterdam), gangs of Muslims go round causing massive issues which doesn't really have anything to do with it.

Last night they went round hunting down innocent people to attack in large groups. In a place that has a lot of Jewish history (I mean, you must have heard of Anne Frank and the terrible stories that happened during WW2) I find it disgusting that these gangs are going up to people in the street and asking them for identification, before kicking the shit out of them.

You really are deplorable.

They're not actually. It's a running joke among fans that they once had a Jewish connection but they don't any more:

PSV recently banned its own fans from making any chants on the subject due to the current situation in the middle-east.

What a mess.

The Jewish people have always been subjugated and had to face hate, but the Israeli government's actions at the moment are merely causing more and more hate.

I think we are going backwards instead of forwards.

It's awful what Israel went through with that horrendous attack on innocent civilians, but now innocent Palestinians are getting hurt and killed on a daily basis too and it's so disproportionate, all it's doing is causing so much more hatred of Jews.

It's a madness.

Especially as a lot of Jewish people don’t agree with the actions of Israel. Even on here Israel and ‘The Jews’ are conflated to suit agendas.

Its almost as if people haven’t learned from their own history isn’t it.

Weren't these Maccabbi fans Israelis?

Israels government are keen to conflate the two, and present things as being anti Semitic when they are in fact they are anti Zionist. I wonder how Israel will be regarded by history in 80 years time.

Vile behaviour from some of the Haifa fans and pretty brainless to try it on in a a large Western European city

Not in a good light, that's for sure.

The stupidity of it all is that Netanyahu wants to wipe out Hamas and Hezbollah, but he's not equating to the fact that the next generation of Palestinians and Lebanese etc, are going to grow up hating Israel more than ever

Just going to breed a whole new generation of hate

Surely even a child can see that.

Political feelings are getting in the way of the truth here.

For the record, I've got no time for Israel. As someone who travels a lot, most of the time I've encountered them on my journey's they've been complete twats on every occasion. The fans that were booing silences and whatever else are twats as well and I can well believe some of them were causing trouble. If a few got a slap, fair enough.

This does not make it OK for gangs of Muslims to go round hunting down and attacking innocent people that had nothing to do with it however, and they are getting a pass because of the above paragraph. There's a serious gang problem with these people in a lot of Europe, but especially in the Netherlands. Going around asking for ID and attacking in mob groups is not an uncommon practice and it is getting more and more out of control.

The Maccabi fans will go home and do whatever they want to do, and frankly they can fuck off. The other group will stay however, and carry on behaving like they're above the law. They will continue to be violent and commit serious disorder.

It’s not acceptable for gangs of Jews to go around Palestine killing innocent bystander Muslims including children, either.

Israeli thugs attacked a taxi driver, defaced flags and disrespected a minutes silence. Hardly surprising they got some retribution. They then hide behind the “but we are Jewish and Germany did horrific, despicable things to us 80 years ago”.
