Not really.Does anyone else wonder why this appointment didn't come at the end of the Venus period?
People sounding like he's a pauper!
Listen, he's not set the world alight in his past two roles but would you go back to a club after what he said about Sky Blue blood, the council, the state of the club etc?
I just don't think you'd come back after those statements purely 'to put bread on the table'.
It's not like he'd be incapable of getting a job elsewhere.
All very strange...

Think it's fair to say the appointment and speed of it surprised even shocked us all. Don't think for a minute it was a case of thank you and goodbye Mr Slade then a phone call saying hello Mr Robins fancy a job ! His sudden departure from the post in 2013 was just as much a surprise and shock. Amongst the reasons sited by MR at the time included not getting certain assurances by his bosses and lack of help from CCC, so what has changed ?
I never held anything against him jumping ship, was probably the only effective thing he could do against issues and more importantly Tim Fisher and Steve Waggott.
Fisher is still here recently. spouting cutting budgets and player sales, hardly encouragement for any new manager.
Issues with ccc affecting the club still there really but shifted from Council to primarily Wasps who won't talk due to JR2
Situation here potentially worse than 2013, probable relegation, imminent loss of training ground, loss of Acadamy cat 2, no home ground in less than 18 months, proposed further budget restraints, player sales maybe enforced and chief protagonist Tim Fisher still here and spouting.
So what has changed for MR to even consider a return ? What assurances has he had ? Does he know something we don't know ? Does he know Simon Jordan ? Yes there's more question than answers, at the moment.
If Mr Robins is successful what stops him from leaving for a bigger club, (Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, Huddersfield Town, Devonshire Arms 2nd XI) he has shit on Coventry in the past for £££, why the fuck can we trust him again?Think it's fair to say the appointment and speed of it surprised even shocked us all. Why the fuck can he trust us, when he's our fourth manager of the season, and the last one is ruthlessly dismissed after a mere few games in charge? If Mr Robins is successful what stops him from leaving for a bigger club, (Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, Huddersfield Town, Devonshire Arms 2nd XI) he has shit on Coventry in the past for £££, why the fuck can we trust him again?
or could it be just another con.job by tiny tim to sell next years season tickets? My theory, for what it's worth, is that potential new owners are lined up who insisted Slade went and it was they who instigated Robbins return, not SISU. As many have said, something is going on, otherwise I doubt MR would have agreed to come back.

Ruthlessly dismissed ? He won one out of fourteen games, taken us from one point from safety to twelve from safety and played some of the worst football I have seen. Why the fuck can he trust us, when he's our fourth manager of the season, and the last one is ruthlessly dismissed after a mere few games in charge?
This is football. I'd rather see a manager be 'disloyal' and headhunted by another club, as it'd be because we were actually winning matches.
Does anyone else wonder why this appointment didn't come at the end of the Venus period? What has happened in the last 3 months for Robins to step in now ? Surely he would have been available back then so why didn't it happen then ?
The swiftness you rush to judgement, it's no wonder managers bog off when they get the chance.Ruthlessly dismissed ? He won one out of fourteen games, taken us from one point from safety to twelve from safety and played some of the worst football I have seen.
Do you go to matches ?
Do you go to games ??The swiftness you rush to judgement, it's no wonder managers bog off when they get the chance.
Do you rush to judgements about things???Do you go to games ??
Which is fine.I don't over analyse. Just pleased Slade has gone and he is back.

Football fans are such a fickle bunch. Same as the horror and outrage when a footballer swears at a fan or flips the bird, despite it being fine for him to get dogs abuse from the stands for months.Which is fine.
Absolute nonsense to demand loyalty of managers if we show none in return. Rupert seems incapable of grasping this point, however.
