If we were going to spend the money quoted on Stemenic then I'm sure we'd spend that amount on Bernede or Sanches to get a deal over the line, Bernede looks good tbf! Just hope it happens. The pricetag of Sanches could've just been too steep. The initial reports were quoting £4m and that's more than we paid for Rudoni who is less of a risk.
Premier league quality, surely we upgrade when we can.Correct, we have 5 CMs to cover 3 positions and to be honest, I’m not sure Allen is up to the required standard. Sheaf and Torp have had their issues with injuries so we need that depth.
Yes, Lati is there for cover too, but he’s covering CB and RB where there isn’t as much depth.
Some one is definitely on their way out if we bring another CM in.I like Jamie Allen I really do, but I'd happily let him go if we could get Bernede in, if he's been on the books of PSG and Salzburg then he can't be half bad, I'd be pleased with this signing if it happens.
How far our interest in Sanches went I don't know but could it be we were looking at Sanches then Bernede came up and we switched? Who knows but it's refreshing to see the calibre of players we're linked with or looking at compared to many seasons ago.
A player that was destined for the top in his past, hasn’t quite gone to plan due to his lengthy injury history, however he hasn’t been injured since he’s joined his new club Lausanne and has been one of their most solid and important players. A very rock in the midfield type player, he’s not gonna get you goals but is quite decent at passing and dribble, and a great tackler. Quite ironically he’s somewhere in the 90th percentile for games played, played every game for them last season and was only subbed out 4 times. Management clearly see something in him.Need a @Tea & Busquets analysis on this one
Sounds like he’d be a quality addition should there be any truth to thisA player that was destined for the top in his past, hasn’t quite gone to plan due to his lengthy injury history, however he hasn’t been injured since he’s joined his new club Lausanne and has been one of their most solid and important players. There's no good YouTube compilation on him but from the scattered highlights I found it seems like he's a good one-touch passer under pressure which is exactly what we need in midfield. I love midfielders who can get the ball while being pressed and not panic.A player that was destined for the top in his past, hasn’t quite gone to plan due to his lengthy injury history, however he hasn’t been injured since he’s joined his new club Lausanne and has been one of their most solid and important players. Palmer is frustrating, one game hes quality then next two games average, I got annoyed with him lost possession alot, on the floor and spent time complaining to the ref, times he could play a simple pass which was all that was needed yet tried to do too much, I'm all for our players expressing themselves and showcasing their abilities but at the correct times. Some one is definitely on their way out if we bring another CM in.
Allen and Palmer arnt first choices here, and I don't think they will be happy to sit on the Bench for a whole season.
EMC can play AM as can Torp and Rudoni.
And Sheaf, Eccles and Lats can cover the other midfield positions, and then there's the youngsters looking to stake a claim.
So Palmer and Allen are struggling for minutes as it is, without bringing another player in
And we're still short of a striker and RB, so CM isn't a priority imo.
Think I like that then upgrade Allen next summerIf we get a CM I think Palmer goes and we have Rudoni/Allen CM/Eccles Sheaf/Torp
Agreed, not sure he's cut out for Premier League football.Think I like that then upgrade Allen next summer
Or let him go and see how Dausch progresses?Think I like that then upgrade Allen next summer
I don't think there is much of a role currently for Palmer if the suggested shape/formation is going to be used . Can't see him staying as a sub every week in case we need a change of formationIf we get a CM I think Palmer goes and we have Rudoni/Allen CM/Eccles Sheaf/Torp
Dausch is a forward isn’t he?Or let him go and see how Dausch progresses?
I thought he was more of an 8 or 10 ?Dausch is a forward isn’t he?
Robins has always talked highly of him tooAllen underrated by most on here, he’s a good squad player.
I think Andrews is more of an 8 or 10, could be wrong thoughI thought he was more of an 8 or 10 ?
Andrews is definitely an 8/10 , I could be wrong about DauschI think Andrews is more of an 8 or 10, could be wrong though
He runs a lot. That's his only attribute.Allen underrated by most on here, he’s a good squad player.
That’s very harsh. He clearly has other attributes. Clueless commentHe runs a lot. That's his only attribute.
Robins has praised his footballing brain and said he is a clever player who can adapt to different game plansThat’s very harsh. He clearly has other attributes. Clueless comment
Also capable of scoring goals. He’s neat and tidy, goes under the radar a lot. I bet his teammates love playing alongside himRobins has praised his footballing brain and said he is a clever player who can adapt to different game plans
For all that we've both said I would imagine he will be way down the pecking order this season , especially if we do sign another midfielderAlso capable of scoring goals. He’s neat and tidy, goes under the radar a lot. I bet his teammates love playing alongside him
He’d be good to keep around for depth. I’d rather be bringing on Allen than Sean Maguire for exampleFor all that we've both said I would imagine he will be way down the pecking order this season , especially if we do sign another midfielder

We've got 6 plus Latibeaudiere and Andrews and Burroughs.Correct, we have 5 CMs to cover 3 positions and to be honest, I’m not sure Allen is up to the required standard. Sheaf and Torp have had their issues with injuries so we need that depth.
Yes, Lati is there for cover too, but he’s covering CB and RB where there isn’t as much depth.
We need an upgrade in the Centre midfield department if we want to finish in the upper echelons of this league, it’s quite simpleWe've got 6 plus Latibeaudiere and Andrews and Burroughs.
Eccles, Sheaf, Rudoni, Torp, Allen and Palmer.
I really don't get why we would need another CM. If we do they need to be much better than what we already have in my view or it's a waste of money.
Robins also speaks highly of McFadzean, Godden, Kelly etcRobins has always talked highly of him too
Palmer is not a CM neither is Lati and I wouldn’t want Burroughs or Andrews playing there. We've got 6 plus Latibeaudiere and Andrews and Burroughs.

Andrews I wouldn't mind seeing more of , only if he warrants a place thoughPalmer is not a CM neither is Lati and I wouldn’t want Burroughs or Andrews playing there.
If we have a 3 man midfield I want more than 5
But that is true of any part of our team. Midfield is probably our strongest position in terms of depth. We need an upgrade in the Centre midfield department if we want to finish in the upper echelons of this league, it’s quite simple

If we are playing three midfielders Palmer is in contention for one of those roles. He plays defensive midfield for Jamaica.Palmer is not a CM neither is Lati and I wouldn’t want Burroughs or Andrews playing there.
