Every week events go on sale that have more demand than there is tickets available. First come, first served works for them. Sure some people are disappointed but at least there aren't never ending arguments about a priority system and who 'deserves' the tickets. The issue is there’s 11,000 season ticket holders. When there’s only 5000 tickets available, how do you select the 5000? Saying ST holders should get priority doesn’t solve that conundrum….
Think this could be a case of be careful what you wish for as there's an emerging trend within ticketing for priority to be given to those who will pay for it and it tends to not be cheap. An ever increasing number of arena / stadium acts offer priority access to tickets for people who will pay an additional fee which tends to be in the range of £50 - 100.
