Big Oggy was hopeless at times with his distributing and kicking but if we could recreate a 28 year old Oggy would you like him between the sticks.
And when you think about the joke Luton goal in the first thirty seconds put it with the Sunderland goal it could and should have been six in a row.I was thinking about this yesterday and even though its kind of meaningless, as a team 5 in a row at this level is outstanding
But he’s a goalkeeper not a Glen Hoddle, so long as he can at least wellie it up field if needs be and do a short pass to a full back or CB I’m okay with that. There was nowhere near the demand for keepers to be good with their feet when Oggy was playing.
And I've no problem with Wilson but I was replying to Robs post which said he wouldn't be surprised if clubs were watching him, I'm merely pointing out that in this day and age his kicking will go against him.
RCC never the same since he turned down that move to Juventus (presumably)Indeed, and closing in on the record held by City legend Reice Charles Cook
Who is next closest?

Add to this his comedy moments in the behind the scenes footage and he’s becoming a favourite! I love his interactions with the camera….. like a Jim Carrey in big gloves.
He actually looks like he should be one of those American Pie type films.Add to this his comedy moments in the behind the scenes footage and he’s becoming a favourite! I love his interactions with the camera….. like a Jim Carrey in big gloves.
It's Stifler's English cousin from SunderlandHe actually looks like he should be one of those American Pie type films.
Yeah even when he was playing second fiddle to Marosi and Moore he always seemed a good character and well liked.Add to this his comedy moments in the behind the scenes footage and he’s becoming a favourite! I love his interactions with the camera….. like a Jim Carrey in big gloves.
I thought we were playing hoofball on Sat... why not, Gyk is so strong, why wouldn't we do it. We are still playing sexy 1 touch ball but now we have this hoof to implement. It can only work in our favour, teams won't know how to handle it.I also think the distribution point is very different now to perhaps Marosi at L1 level and missing players that move and create space like O’Hare makes more difficult.
Robins seems to want it slightly longer now as Gyok rolls his man rather than to his feet like others before.
Don't rekon Hamer does that if it was only 1 nil.I bet Wilson must be still pissed off with Hamer. Would be 5 clean sheets in a row without that silly late Sunderland goal.
I remember one time Oggy tried to kick it out as one of our players was injured and it arced beautifully to land in the centre circle. There was nowhere near the demand for keepers to be good with their feet when Oggy was playing.
And I've no problem with Wilson but I was replying to Robs post which said he wouldn't be surprised if clubs were watching him, I'm merely pointing out that in this day and age his kicking will go against him.
His antics in front of the cameras belie someone who is evidently willing to listen and learn, he wouldn't have improved otherwise. Funny fella though.Add to this his comedy moments in the behind the scenes footage and he’s becoming a favourite! I love his interactions with the camera….. like a Jim Carrey in big gloves.
I agree, I like the style, playing to his power and strengthI thought we were playing hoofball on Sat... why not, Gyk is so strong, why wouldn't we do it. Not many teams can do that. It's either one or the other and in this league it's long balls. I can see us using that tactic more and more this season, especially if he keeps Vik up top on his own. Also teams seem to play the high press more against us now knowing we like to play it out from the back. Having the ability to play it both ways works well.
Take a Bow Ben Wilson, that Blackburn goal confirms him the golden gloveHe’s got next to go chance of winning it - the clean sheets were down to the change in tactics and the defensive displays - we’ve got something like 3 cleans sheets out of the last 10 games.
Wilson hasn't done a lot wrong recently, in fact he's done a lot right, but Mcnally - Fadz - Doyle is lightyears ahead of Rose - Doyle - Panzo, I think we'll be defensively solid for the rest of the season now
Has Wilson won the golden glove ?
Has Wilson won the golden glove ?
Could still be a tie with Horvath if Luton keep a Clean Sheet on Monday & we don't, guaranteed to at least share it though.Has Wilson won the golden glove ?

If true then good point, well made.Think Wilson takes it due to playing fewer games.
