If playing a 4-3-3, would have to be
Dovin
MVE- Ostigard - Doyle - Materson
Hamer - Grimes - Sheaf
Sakamoto - Gyok - Wright
Harsh on Rudoni, Simms, EMC and O’Hare mind
It's hard to imagine a less convincing rearguard than that.![]()
Think we could comfortably squeeze Dabo in there. It's hard to imagine a less convincing rearguard than that.![]()
Callum Doyle should be in there-----------------Dovin---------------
MvE - Thomas - Kitching - Bidwell

---------Sheaf ---------Hamer

Ostigard was massively overrated
That massive goal at Rotherham will always be a highlight from him!!Agreed. Decent defensive ability but his use of the ball was genuinely appalling.
Someone hasn't read the opening post-------------------------- Westwood----------------------
Mve--- Scott Dann---Callum Doyle, DannyFox

---‐----- Gustavo Hamer - Ben Sheaf----------
--------------------David Thompson----------------
----------- Marlon King---------Gyokeres----------
Not in a back four I wouldn't have him over Kitching .Callum Doyle should be in there
A lot of sentiment on this thread regarding certain loanees . Were Ostigard , Doyle and Maatsen really better than Thomas , Kitching and Bidwell?
Clark-Salter?I felt harsh putting Pask in as he was never meant to be a first team player at this level but there isn’t really any other centre halves I could think of.
Clark-Salter?
No Sheaf?Moore
Kane Pask Drysdale Da Costa
Jobello Hillsner Kelly Palmer
Maguire Biamou
I thought JCS was excellent and I'd have been close to putting him in the genuine rather than spoof 11 if he wasn't made of glass.Clark-Salter?
He really wasn't overrated. I said back then I'd sign him in a heartbeat and not at all surprised he's gone on to do well. In fact at the time I'd have probably preferred him to become permanent over Vik if we had the choice. Imo He's Bobby Thoms+passing.Ostigard was massively overrated

Shows what a terrific model Brighton have. Not only the team they have and the stars they've sold, but those like Gyokeres and Ostigaard too. I always thought Ayari would be a player too, just too soon at the level for us to have been thrust in and could've done with a L1 loan first to get some minutes in.
Dovin is a huge upgrade on Wilson, Collins and Moore, really really huge. I quite liked Marosi until he got wiped out but other than that it's been an absolute dog of a position for us for God knows how long.
I don’t remember him as a great passer of the ball, was a beast in the air though. Definitely the most aerially dominant cb we’ve had since we came back up.He really wasn't overrated. He’s been loaned to a struggling club in the German top division.
I don't think he was over-rated for us at all; he was in a team whose remit was to stay in the division. He's also playing at a higher level than any other centre-half we've had in the period, which probably tells you something.Doesn't mean he was cr&p for us tbf.
Marc McNulty is now, at the age of 32, playing in one of the 2nd tier leagues in Australia. He was great for us.
Your response doesn't really stack up. Ostigard is still a Norwegian international as well.

His career trajectory is strange, though; since us, other than Napoli, he's not lasted anywhere more than half a season. Maybe coincidence, maybe not.
This is absolutely true. He should have had a hatful of goals. He was frustrating at times. His ability on the ball was poor and his heading from memory was borderline comical as the ball would often go in every direction other than the one intended.

What about the best combined 11 of players we’ve played against that could be an interesting one
GK - Alex Palmer
RB - Djed Spence
CB - Darragh Lenihan
CB - Tom Lockyer
LB - Antonee Robinson
CDM - Matt Grimes
CM - Gabriel Sara
CM - Michael Olise
RW - Nathan Tella
ST - Alexander Mitrovic
LW - Crysencio Summerville
Remember that game we won 1-0 but he ran the showI still remember when we played Blades back in the play off season at the CBS, Iliman Ndiaye is one of the best players I've ever seen up there
