I started it again from scratch and the early series are still fantastic but once Trevor and Corey have gone and the production values go up it loses a bit too much of the charm for me

Yes I get what you mean , particularly the last series .
I’ve not watched any of the other specials as I’ve read they don’t have the same charm as the series

Still persevering with MCU. Captain America: Brave New World.

6/10. Still can’t accept Sam as Captain America, he’s just a guy so they have to
have him talk down the Red Hulk because he’d obviously get battered
.

Saw some complaints that it’s Cap vs a Nazi president but it’s not really. The overarching plot points to drive the universe forward are there but the main characters are weak and nothing like the OG cast, not sure how they get around that. Feels like they’re all living off the old movies at this point. There could have been a good start to Dark Avengers but they seemed to pussy out, and lead into Thunderbolts. Mostly still watching to see how they integrate x-men in now that
adamantium is in universe which is obviously leading to wolverine
without the same problems with the older better cast still in recent memory.

I haven’t seen it but will soon - do you think it’s a build into/set up for the last 2 Avenger movies?

The post credits scene I think it setting up the avengers movies. Mostly I think it’s setting up Thunderbolts which is out in May. I think FF in July will set up Avengers as its apparently set in another timeline and I’m guessing as RDJ is Doom that’s multiverse based.

I assumed the RDJ character would have a heavy multiverse link. I’ll be intrigued how they’ll acknowledge the Iron Man connection in it.

Something in the end credits of this made me think a theory on that.

The bad guy mentions “the others” coming and I wonder if they’re going to do bad guy versions with Chris Evans also confirmed to return and rumours Scarlett Johansson is coming back at some point too.

Just watched Ep1 S3 of the White Lotus, vpn from America. Really good start with character development.
Shows tonight on Sky Atlantic.

I maybe missed this - is Landman worth a watch ?
Billy Bob Thornton does his usual good job and the story line is interesting though there has been criticism of the highly sexualized roles played by his children's mom and (the 20 something actress) playing his 17 year old daughter.

There’s a Sky series about the rise of Mussolini in Italy which is quite a good watch! One for the history buffs and anyone who likes a bit of gore.

The Monkey - enjoyed it, and it's more of a comedy horror than anything that scary. Theo James was really good in it too, especially as he's not American

Champions.

I don’t really like “ feel good films, but I really enjoyed this.

Woody Harrelson plays a disgraced professional basket ball coach, who is sentenced to 90 days community service for drink driving.

His community service involves coaching a basketball team of young adults who all have learning disabilities.

Harrelson is wonderful in his role, as are a lot of the young adults who form the team.

As much as you always know how it’s going to end, the film really pulls you in, as it’s just so well put together and funny.

One of the those films that cheers you up without you even realising it !
