We can also thank In Bruges for one of the biggest meltdowns ever on GMK.Watched the Banshees and thought it was just about ok, although my other half thought it was rubbish. I liked the acting, and the slow burn, but thought the overall story was garbage.
In Bruges was way way better, Banshees not even in the same universe…
You’ll have to remind me…We can also thank In Bruges for one of the biggest meltdowns ever on GMK.
Did it involve DwarfsWe can also thank In Bruges for one of the biggest meltdowns ever on GMK.
I know smiles was small, but….Did it involve Dwarfs
if you watch in Bruges watch out Mrs Hall from all creatures great and small
Did see that, saw the description and thought it looked random!
It's a very faithful adaptationThink HBO should’ve left TLOU. Leave it be as a video game.
96% on rotten tomatoes seems pretty unbelievable.
We really liked Extraordinary tooBeen attempting a few light hearted, short episode type series to watch with the partner recently:
Extraordinary (Apple TV) - really enjoyed it. A few missed jokes, but overall got enough solid chuckles from me and the characters (well three of the four main ones) are pretty engaging too. Quite dry humour at times and good comedic exchanges too.
The Afterparty (Apple TV) - only 4 episodes in, but enjoying it so far. Murder mystery premise so it maintains a “serious” overarching piece (i.e. who did it) but some good comedic dialogue at times, albeit Americanised comedy esque. Can tell it’s by the same people as 21 Jump Street - but I don’t mind that comedy.
Starstruck (iPlayer) - watched about 10 minutes and had to turn off as my partner found the female lead too annoying. I got it tbf.
Ghosts (iPlayer) - latest season (not so new now) but good harmless fun. Not stacked with laughs but certainly enough and an interesting premise regardless.
I also watched:
Ladhood (iPlayer) - really enjoyed it. Certain type of humour, some of which is very dry and very British, but all good.
None of the above are particularly quote worthy, Office/Partridge/Peep Show levels, but all worth a watch if looking for something light heartened alongside whatever more “serious” show you are watching.
A town called malice
'Man in the High Castle' on Prime. Excellent show.

Totally concur with this.Season 1 was great, but after that it was awful. A lot of time I'll never get back.

Ladhood is brilliant, would highly recommend as well.
"Mo" is a great comedy drama on Netflix.
Just finished a Polish drama called "Hold Tight" on Netflix, that wasn't bad.
Probably been mentioned, but the Lincoln Lawyer based on Michael Connelly's book is excellent.
If anyone watches Anime, I enjoyed "Kotaro Lives Alone" on Netflix.
Fair enough gents,I loved the book so maybe why I enjoyed it more?Totally concur with this.
Yeah it’s ok lots of 80’s music and miming to the songs but it’s not a musical let’s say it’s different. Is it any good?
I just finished Bad Sisters on Apple.
Has to be one of the best on-screen baddies ever I reckon.
Definitely.I was saying to the missus it’s the type of performance where the actor gets treated like shit in real life because everyone has a visceral hatred for the character.
Try 1883 the prequel also very goodBeen binging Yellowstone, fucking brilliant it's the Godfather and Sopranos with cowboy hats on. (the Sopranos is of course the datum all tv series must be measured against).
Well worth watching if you have Paramount Plus.
Watched it prior to starting Yellowstone....agree it's very good.Try 1883 the prequel also very good
