So he is a dick then but just one you route? I get that bit, as I am routing for him. But thus far he’s pretty selfish and not a fan of the way he treats Ruth - thats my main bug bear.
They are all so brilliant though, Ruth, Marty and Wendy and they all try and screw each other over. All as bad as each other, but you love them all the same and root for them.

It's because the characters have such rich depth. They have goodness in them, but they are complex creatures, just like it life. It's not just either good or bad. They possess both traits

As others have said the dynamics between characters change over time. I think Marty becomes more likeable as time goes on. Ruth’s just an amazing character (will be watching Inventing Anna with same actress next)

Watched The Dirt recently on Netflix. Biopic about Motley Crue. Reviews for it are poor but I really enjoyed it. Pretty outrageous in places…. I’m surprised the opening scene was allowed in a mainstream movie. Now listening to the book it was based on by the band, brilliant stuff.

First 2 episodes of Severance are up on Apple TV and it is brilliant so far. If they can keep the standard up for the rest of the season it will be up there for best show of the year IMO.

It's the worst show of the year for me, because I don't have Apple TV.

Oh help me Mrs Medlicott, I don’t know what to do; I’ve only got three bullets, and there’s four of Motley Crue

The devils advocate on sky docs is a good mini docuseries. Kind of remember the guy representing some evil people but not the whole fraud story.

I mentioned on one of the politics thread Winter on Fire - Ukraines fight for freedom (Netflix) is an interesting backdrop to what is now happening. not a particularly light hearted watch but worth it if that’s your thing

I've seen the first one far too many times to count at this point, looking forward to the sequel if only to introduce some variety to the songs I have to play on the nursery run

Just started watching a new 2022 series called 'Suspicion' on Apple TV.

I like this kind of genre, but have been very underwhelmed with the last couple of series I have watched.
This one has been pretty good though and I'm looking forward to watching the last episode later. (y)

Edit: Turns out it wasn't the last episode (5/8), so still have 3 to go. Still a decent watch though.

Just watched The Godfather part 2 on the big screen.

What an extraordinary film.

I knew it was good, and enjoyed watching it on DVD back in the day. But seeing it in a cinema. Phew!

Watched The Witchfinder last night. Didn't find it at all funny.

So, one I WOULDN'T recommend. 🤷
