Bing Bid (1 Viewer)

I know very little about Mr Bing or his bid. I have started this thread if people wouldn't mind adding what they actually know about him and his bid.

I have done a bit of googling but most information seems to be about the railway side of things.

Interested if other people have seen or heard interviews or know of him personally.

You don't even know his name to be fair.

Unless he's doing a joint bid with Bob Hope, which is the only sort of hope we'd have had for years.

We're definitely setting up for On the road to...... Walsall.

Strangely enough there was a news feature on CWR this morning around the possibility of a second runway/terminal and HS2 link ,lots of Hype but it was shot down by some specialist in terms of Industry / Public interest.

That would be a shame

The way I understand it

Birmingham Airport would become one of three airports linking directly to HS2

It is building a new Runway to take Chinese, American and South American flights direct.

HS2 currently is of no benefit to the people if Warwickshire even those who commute to London. Yet their countryside is to be torn apart for HS2.

There is an opportunity for someone to link Warwickshire to Birmingham Airport, HS2 becomes more viable.

His name rhymes with sing, thing and cling. And lots of other "ing" words.

Here's the thing, Mr Byng
Give us some money
Ting-a-ling-ling.

I've discovered that we can make up some great songs with his name. For that alone he should be the winning bidder.

There was a young man named Byng
Launching takeovers was his thing
But SISU stood firm
And what did we learn?
Another year of Bell on the wing

Seriously though Dongonzalos, all I know is what has already been stated in the handful of Telegraph interviews with the bloke.

So nothing massively in-depth.

There was also the option of using 'ring sting' for the payoff relating to Chinese food but it might have been a bit racist.

I don't think it's racist to make an accurate observation about the aftereffects of the high chilli content of many Asian dishes on the average human body.

Seeing as he has put himself out there so publicly it is a shame that he does not do an interview with CWR and explain his plans.

Considering he could be chairman of our club in a couple of weeks!

That Les Reid fella said on his Twitter last night that he'd just done a phone interview with Byng so there might hopefully be a bit more info on the way fairly soon, unless it was just to confirm he was one of the bidders.

Why haven't Suntan Joe or Haskell given any detail at all about their plans?

"The Telegraph understands there have been six indicative bids.
But the administrator said today (Monday) that Warwickshire businessman Michael Byng is not one of them - despite his claims to the Telegraph last night."

This is just getting odd now.

Interesting, one way this would make sense (if true)

He is friendly with SISU and was used to drive the price up.

We can only hope his consortium has done a deal with SISU to buy up ccfc, post administration

I would imagine (or hope) the bid has been made using a Consortium name, rather than just Michael Byng.
