Apologies if this has already been covered but Otis do you seriously think peace talks will now happen just because Chris Millerchip has asked?
Just seen it, so Simon has adjusted the time on the article and given it loads about exclusives or something? We can today show @covtelegraph alters publication times to claim exclusives. Before formal complaint, journo must now remove Twitter games
Oh, well if you were told I take it all back. It was clearly a given then.
Just one question. If the planners don't see it as a problem where are the plans?
What would the same thing be though? No, I think we all need to ask and get as many people involved in this mess to ask for the same thing.
One bloke isn't going to make a jot of difference.
Block what turn? The turn we were never going to take?
No one wants to deal with SISU. They have to go and the sooner the better.
I see this "EXCLUSIVE" from Reid is actually info lifted from a Cov Telegraph article -
http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/coventry-news/coventry-city-ground-share-butts-11477087
A typical, vitriolic, non-exclusive, recycled piece from a has-been journalist working for a second-rate free newspaper.
OK. Where's the properly prepared project then?
Yep, agree.
Best protest, go and watch Cov rugby, get them winning and then try and convince those going to watch Wasps to go and watch Cov instead.
You do know you can speak to Planning department's for their thoughts and for advice on issues, before submitting plans don't you? Obviously not.
So has someone from SISU spoken to the planning dept. then? I'd guess that they'd have to go with some sort of a plan. It's going to be yay big and hold this many people isn't going to get any sort of thoughts and advice. They'd have to talk to them with some outline plans at the least on a project of this size.
That is Nuneaton, it isn't a viable location.Land is being cleared on Bermuda but it is to small for everything they want, probably for Wasps expansion it Warwickshire so they could have the city of rugby and the town of rugby.
I think its a bit of a dig at wasps not allowing us to have home friendly. Nothing more than that. That is Nuneaton, it isn't a viable location.
On a related issue I noticed with some concern that TM called a 'Nuneaton Town' pre-season fixture a #home' game.

I thought that was a bit odd, I hope it is nothing more than some loose language from the manager (& maybe a bit of an attempt to generate controversy by the CT).
Not half as embarrassing as Coventry being a city of rugby.

You tell Millerchip to stop playing Lord Chief Justice then and transfer the lease because until then nothing can happen - can it?
How would that restriction work if it wasn't a league game? They could hold a friendly at BPA - would not be more than 5000 there surely?
Think we are down to Plan F now. What's the problem? We were told 3 years ago by that "..the ship has sailed..” and that we were building our own stadium (with academy combined) to get access to that vital income 365 days and 24/7.
TF then stepped down as CEO in order to concentrate his efforts on the task.
You've been backed into a corner Timmy, so let's get back to your Plan A and bring it on!
Horse and Bolted springs to mind.If Coventry is going to be the city of rugby then let's make it the city of Coventry rugby.
Just thinking, Nick, is it worth starting another sub-forum, or having a sticky, where Cov's fixtures and results can be put up, along with ticket prices and special offers etc.?
The more people we can get away from Wasps and to the Butts the better.
Cov are a team of this city and if the Sky Blues are hamstrung then let's back CRC as best we can and get them a much higher profile.
Never been to a rugby game in my life but I would most certainly consider going if it helped Cov and then in turn benefitted the City too.
Probably because it hasn't got football goals there at the minute. They could hold a friendly at BPA - would not be more than 5000 there surely?
It's too late to back Cov rugby?Horse and Bolted springs to mind.

Go away little man and do your fishing elsewhere! Try the Sowe next to AEHC
You know perfectly well it is CRFC or Millerchip are the only people who can talk to CCC planners NOT SISU
What bollocks. Of course it can. Nothing stopping SISU and CRFC coming up with a plan both financial and building. In fact it would probably help convince Lord Chief Justice Millerchip to transfer the lease if they did come up with a tangible plan that works for both outfits. Also nothing stopping both parties getting an architect involved and drawing up some plans to submit to the planning department. Then we would actually see how well it would be received. Strange that they haven't? Do they actually know if a 25k stadium will fit?

Well wasps are getting 13-14k, they are in the schools, they are PR masters. I'm all for backing cov rugby but I don't think its going to pursuade the likes of Italia to ditch wasps and get behind cov rugby. It's too late to back Cov rugby?
Really?
Oh yeah, I'd forgotten about that.I think its a bit of a dig at wasps not allowing us to have home friendly. Nothing more than that.

Really? You can actually get plans drawn up on something you don't own or have the freehold on?
I never knew that.

Sounds like a good idea then, probably too late now to arrange? There is no restriction - Reeves has said so
So how would anyone know whether SISU had spoken to the Planning Dept? We wouldn't, it doesn't mean it did or didn't happen so what is your point?
Secondly they could have plans, it is feasible that they did, but that doesn't mean they had to be submitted. Thye could of course have spoken to the Planning Dept for their view on the project, and of potential problems and issues. Agaian we will never know, so what is the issue?
Said it pretty much from day one but the best way to hurt Wasps is go and see CRFC and give them your money. A successful CRFC is by far the biggest threat Wasps will have.
