But they have lost their best player and talisman!
If you mean Mpanzu, he’s signed a new contract there.

Agreed - if possible we need to extend the contracts for both O'Hare and Hamer. Otherwise next summer they could be coming off the back of good seasons with only one year left on their contracts, which would obviously effect their value.Start the season in a positive fashion and I'd be looking to extend his contract; his value is only ever going to go in one direction, I think Hamer is also going to have a big season too, so same for him.
Portsmouth player got injured, nobody remaining on the bench, Bristol City player had to play for them and scored.

Brandon Mason (Trialist)
Coventry City left-back Mason was allowed to go on trial ahead of a potential loan move and was introduced after just 16 minutes following Brown’s injury. Ended up playing for around 75 minutes and showed an expression to get forward and create moves with his crossing. 7
To be fair we did push him further .....out the doorPeople used to say the same about Ryan Haynes
It's all speculation, but the fact he dived after a new contract suggested motivation might have gone for a bit. And Robins doesn't seem the forgiving type...Weird one, looked decent before mcallum came in. Robins bombed him early doors. Wonder if he took being dropped badly?
On the ball as ever AnnBack at Cov now.Portsmouths trial ended.
It's got to be worth giving him a game in one of the friendliesBack at Cov now.Portsmouths trial ended.
Why? Signing a left back this weekIt's got to be worth giving him a game in one of the friendlies
Maybe not that surprising, though. We rejected him when we were a League One side, after all!& now rejected by a League One side too.
Tbf he was a regular starter for st mirren before getting injured in January.Worrying for Mason... Struggled to get games for St Mirren & now rejected by a League One side too. Looked decent initially for us until the emergence of McCallum but has seemingly gone backwards.

Yeah but then struggled to even make the bench.
Ah, shame. Doesn't have much luck does he!?
Would have been a good move for all parties.
YepBeing selfish if we can’t get him off the books now, that may cause some budget issues.
It it a lad injury anybody know?

Hands off, Chelsea players are ours!!Not sure. Still time to offload him by end of Aug loan window. Hopefully not too bad. But it looks like Pompey weren’t interested in the end as they’ve got a Chelsea player on trial now.

If true that’s a sad blow for the lad. Hope it’s not too badFrom his Twitter comment it sounds like it could be a bad injury. You don't normally say come back stronger for a niggle.

Reece James looks like he'll be a regular. Tammy Abraham has made an impact. The hit rate is low for the amount of talent they've hoovered up over the years though.Apart from Chelsea… do any of them actually ever make it there when they go back? Mason Mount is the only one I can think of
