I do think if Brum come back up they'll have a bit of momentum and carry on doing wellYep inclined to agree. Hoping they fuck it up as if we’re still in this league when they come back with potentially Wrexham as well, there’ll be some serious financial piss taking along with Lesta coming back down.
Not many teams successfully bounce straight back up from L1 in their first season. I don’t think Birmingham will get promoted this season, 2025/26 ought to be their year.I do think if Brum come back up they'll have a bit of momentum and carry on doing well
As I said I hope not, can't stand the arrogant fuckers
Eh leave them to it, I'm still not sold on the owners and the new stadium is as laughable as it is pointless, but Stoke have shown its useless having wealthy owners if your recruitment is dogshit.I do think if Brum come back up they'll have a bit of momentum and carry on doing well

BTA is still TBA, AFAIKWell this is a nice thread about err Asante
Maybe hell come back to Cov when MR eventually decides to retire.Yep. Deserved to go on to a better job than Blackburn I think.
That won’t be for some time but depending on how Eustace gets on yeah sureMaybe hell come back to Cov when MR eventually decides to retire.
It's not Liam bloody Vaney is it - I had to block him, clown - I am out of those Facebook forums anyway - you could write what most people on them know about football on the back of a fag packetI've noticed there's a Facebook equivalent to George on Twitter who steals rumours from here and pretends to be ITK. @Jimmy87 you might want to pop on over and have a word mate.

Being a 'cup final' for smaller teams doesn't help, but signing a bunch of absolute no hopers, many not even at league 1 standard in reality was the main problem.I just think of the time when we got relegated from the prem and a lot of us had the view it would do us good, allow us to rebuild and we would piss the championship. The same can be said when we got relegated to league one with many thinkng we would come straight back up and we all know how that worked out.
the problem wth being the big club in league 1 is you are everyone else's cup final and as well as the cloggers kicking you off the pitch they all put that little bit more into playing you along with playing at some shit hole grounds on a midweek night in February. Alot of their so called big signings will be in for a shock a long with their fans
Agree - but you could say that about nearly every team in this league. Most if not all of todays squad will not be with us in 2 or 3 seasons
That and retaining Andy Thorn. Imagine if we’d hired someone like MR soon after relegation and allowed him the summer to recruit and clear out the amateur mentality that clown had instilled.Being a 'cup final' for smaller teams doesn't help, but signing a bunch of absolute no hopers, many not even at league 1 standard in reality was the main problem.

Robins was in the frame for the job that summer but they’d have been outrage if the experts hadn’t got their way. He should have been sacked within the first few games as it was clear he’d take us down. That and retaining Andy Thorn. Yeh that's the one. That forum makes me laugh more than anything, we really do have some real simpletons supporting us. Worryingly I think this might be the place where the slightly smarter fan discusses all things CCFC. Troubling thought I know. It's not Liam bloody Vaney is it - I had to block him, clown - I am out of those Facebook forums anyway - you could write what most people on them know about football on the back of a fag packet
Retaining him made it a near certainty that we weren’t going back up. As it was, he would probably have done the oppositeRobins was in the frame for the job that summer but they’d have been outrage if the experts hadn’t got their way. Yep, said it a few times. Remember the first game after relegation, an easy win at Stockport. Said to my mate on the way out of the ground, "we're gonna piss this league..." Twenty-three years later....I just think of the time when we got relegated from the prem and a lot of us had the view it would do us good, allow us to rebuild and we would piss the championship. I'm Coventry bred, do you like me?Really like Eustace. Coventry bred too.
Really like Eustace. Coventry bred too.
solihull, but yeah all cov, remember him in the youth back at HRIsn’t he a Brummie? He came to us when Birmingham closed their youth academy.
Funny you should ask that question, I was sat here thinking how long does Robbins have left of his contract and when did he sign his current contract?out of interest in a long serving manager like robins, how much would he earn a week?
Brother you will give yourself a brain aneurysm. Can you maybe just take it one season at a time?Just interested, if Robins can’t get us promoted this season or the next, how long would give him? Only hypothetical but I’d personally say that he has 2, maybe 3, more chances and I wonder if the pressure from fans and Doug would start becoming too much?
(I assume we get promoted by then anyway but just makes you wonder what would happen if we finished 7th every season.)

Yeah, Villa fan too which they hatedIsn’t he a Brummie? He came to us when Birmingham closed their youth academy.
Yet more evidence against fan ownership!Retaining him made it a near certainty that we weren’t going back up. As it was, he would probably have done the opposite
Just a hypothetical question whilst we’re waiting for Asante announcement, not that deepBrother you will give yourself a brain aneurysm. Can you maybe just take it one season at a time?
I'm not surprised. It's the reason I was so reluctant to give his name, which I do regret. I'm not on Facebook, only on Twitter, which I barely use.I've noticed there's a Facebook equivalent to George on Twitter who steals rumours from here and pretends to be ITK. @Jimmy87 you might want to pop on over and have a word mate.
