And the top scorer in the leagueSo WBA reluctantly sell us one of their best strikers and they end up topping the league with no losses. How?

Where they reluctant? I've read some comments mainly from fans, but the manager seemed happy to let him go. He was already on route to sign or Hull. Paid £300k for him, and sold him for £2.5m. And was he one of their best strikers? They have spent nearly £40m over the last couple of seasons on Maya, Grant and Dike.So WBA reluctantly sell us one of their best strikers and they end up topping the league with no losses. How?
You have to question why a promotion rival would sell their striker to us?So WBA reluctantly sell us one of their best strikers and they end up topping the league with no losses. How?

He's barely started a match for us, but has 2 goals. Thought he was great against Spurs, and will be a useful option this season. He was only playing as there first choices were injured, looks every bit a league one player. Complete waste of money, that's before you factor in we signed Bassette a week later.

Cos we should have let him go to Hull and keep KaseyYou have to question why a promotion rival would sell their striker to us?

Perhaps the scouts thought Bassette was that good we couldn’t pass up the opportunity. He’s not a league one player
but I want to know what really happened. There’s no way we were planning on signing both him and Bassette. Something must have gone on behind the scenes.
Don't you ever learn? Good player with potential and a good attitude to have round the squad too. Robins will improve him too.He was only playing as there first choices were injured, looks every bit a league one player. "Wouldn't have much faith" - No signs of West Brom regret over Coventry City deal
The forward made the switch to the CBS Arena in the summer, following two seasons with the Baggies.footballleagueworld.co.uk
"I'd say that we aren't really missing him with Maja at the top of the Golden Boot charts at the moment. He's really, really clinical in front of goal and his all-round play is really, really good. There's nothing you can really complain about, apart from maybe having that option off the bench to give Maja a bit of a break."
"....you can say that Albion have not been missing Thomas-Asante. While I can always appreciate the 110% he gave every week, he was quite a frustrating finisher at the best of times.
"He might score an amazing goal, but whenever he was one-on-one in front of goal, you wouldn't have much faith.
"The end result would be that Thomas-Asante not tucking the goal away, but Josh Maja might be on the end of one or two chances, and you'd have full faith that he'd be able to find the back of the net."
Let’s hope for their sakes that Maja is fit all season then."Wouldn't have much faith" - No signs of West Brom regret over Coventry City deal

That sounds like a description of Jutkevic (apologise for spelling)Obviously it would be ideal if he was a clinical finisher too, but his role for us is to keep the defenders busy, harrass them tirelessly, and free up space for the rest of our attackers
or keeps scoring, his best seasons have been at lower levels than the Championship and his seasons at this level haven't been good to be fair.Let’s hope for their sakes that Maja is fit all season then.
He didn't play a minute over the 2 gamesGhana 2-0 down to Sudan with BTA still on the bench, defeat makes it extremely unlikely they’ll qualify for AFCON.
Good news indeed.Ghana 2-0 down to Sudan with BTA still on the bench, defeat makes it extremely unlikely they’ll qualify for AFCON.
He only made his debut in JuneWaste of time him travelling. I hope he doesn't bother in future and stays 'jet lag free' for our season campaign

Im sure he coped with the 1 hour time difference.Waste of time him travelling. I hope he doesn't bother in future and stays 'jet lag free' for our season campaign
Does anyone really rate BTA. He reminds of a poor man's Sean Flynn. Runs around a lot but doesn't actually achieve much.
Lots of enthusiasm is a good thing...right
Simms is definitely a cat then. Sat in the centre circle licking his bollocks.I like him. Lots of enthusiasm and he causes trouble and chases lost causes which Wright and Simms don’t do. Just lacking a bit of quality once he does get the ball. Quite dog like in that respect.
IMO he shouldn't be starting games. He's a striker that doesn't look like scoring when he has opportunities. His energy is useful off the bench.Does anyone really rate BTA. He reminds of a poor man's Sean Flynn. Runs around a lot but doesn't actually achieve much.
