It is funny that when they came to the club, the one's who are now anti-sisu (and who were also the most pro-SISU when they bought us) were very proud of SISU's 'hard-nosed' business skills.

I have been Anti-SISU from day1 Sick Boy. I seem to recall being shouted down everytime I mentioned anything slightly anti-SISU.
How times have changed from being in the minority to being in the vast majority.(And never once supporting SISU)
I don't want CCFC to go to the wall, but SISU have had 6 years to put things right...Have they???

Not me! I'm so left-wing I make Trotsky look Thatcherite, so everything that they represent has disguisted since well before I'd even heard of them! Yet I'm sure there are others with a similarly socialist attitude to myself that do sympathise with them, oddly.

Yeah right, cos it's not like every fan needs a club to support, is it? When a "fan" says " wish they would close us down then at least i can sort out my saturdays to a better effect (golf)" it makes me wonder. Doesn't surprise me that you chose to ignore that bit though.

Right, yeah, cos it's not like we need every fan we can get for sure. :(

Just to interject. I hate golf. I hate golf, golfers stories, golf on the tele, people who only buy cars they can get their golf bats in, and of course, the preposterous clothing. In essence; I don't favour the sport. And it's not a sport either for that matter.

I'd rather be dry-bummed by Steve Waggott reading Lenny Henry's autobiography than play golf on any given Saturday

Erm....<looks at feet>...

I meant Sky Blue Taylor but, shucks now you mention it... ;)

I reckon you were confused by a battle between two forces you ideollogically mistrust ('cos we all love Local Government, right?!).

the rent has been lowered because it is unreasonable

yet they see fit to ask for past rent in full?

council are the bad guys in all this

You have to wonder, if SISU are seriously about CCFC in the long term, perhaps they should invest in a new stadium on the other side of town. It would be simpler. Even if it was a little smaller and meant there wasn't a great deal of spare cash for the team at first. If match day fixtures were always seeing 20,000+ attendance like Highfield RD used to see in the 90s we could start to turn a corner...? It's a big "if", but it could potentially see us in better stead in a decade's time.

Nice of ACL to try and put CCFC out of existance.

SISU tried to put ACL out of business and destroy the Higgs charity finances.
They did this by stopping the rental payments to put ACL into what they thought was an unstainable financial position.

Did the hell, they tried to get a fair rate of rent.got a feeling that even joy would disagree with you on that if she gave an honest answer....... it was about much more than the rent

The Trust is fine. you know that because? so the trust hasnt suffered any loss or costs by all that has gone on ?

FFS people learn a little. indeed

sorry chap things are not that simple

I think that must have been it. It's the Local Government thing. Gets me every time.

For once I agree with you 100%.

Golf is rubbish played by Tories with horrible jumpers. Boring, Tory nonsense.

This is not nice at all but will not immediately bring the house of cards down.

SISU will surely be surprised but not unexpected with this action.
It's laudable that while they can't negotiate player and manager contracts very well they leave no stone unturned elswhere!

Ducking and diving down all these alleyways eventually leads to a dead end. I feel that dead end is now getting closer.

For SISU an agreement with ACL will have to be done.
The goodwill between the sides has long since disintegrated so the future will continue being a rocky relationship with little trust, if any going forward.

SISU very much have to step up to the plate and decide what the future is going to be. Their sheer lack of competence in the people at the helm of CCFC is mind boggling. The damage being done comes to a point where much of it will be irretrievable.
They need to act competently and quickly get a resolution.

ACL have also not been so responsible in their stance either. They should take a good look at themselves before calling the kettle black. The council' backed' operation is and has been a mess from the off and recent moves made by the Council agreeing to help restructor their debts could be akin to a SISU move!

Don't you just want to get them all in a room and bang their heads together?

The rent has been CONSIDERABLY lowered to accomodate SISU.
Not only that, but offered a share in revenue from food and drinks.
Try getting away with non payment of rent to any landlord for 12 months...wouldn't get past 3 months and you would be out on your arse!
If they owe it...they pay it. simple. but wait!...over how long???...10 years :O
Why are the council the "Bad Guys"...Because they bale out a charity to stop them going out of business?....Think you need to get things in perspective m8.
Football is a Sport, and should be looked on as just that!
No Sport is worth fucking over a Charity, at least not from where I come from. I grew up in a City that bred people to have morals...................know what they are?

Yeah, SBK the moral aspect is a big issue with me.
I can't accept the way this is being handled by SISU.

Lmfao, listen son, apart from 3 years that I played the game at Coventry Sporting Club, and 7 years in Scottish Div 1, and Div2. I was a ST holder at HR and Ricoh for the combined time of approx 30 years...followed Cov all over Britain, and even went to Bayern Munich to watch us play....Trakia Plovdiv game was just a tad too expensive to travel to.
I refuse to go to the Ricoh while SISU are there, but travel to all away games at considerable expense to me seeing as I now live in South Wales. Missed 2 away games this season, and none over the last 3 seasons.
So when you pay my expenses to travel, THEN you can say I'm NOT a City supporter. OK!:jerkit:
