The story about Bright is still niggling with me. If, as others have said, he's with the team already, why hasn't the CovTel picked up on this ? Not seen anything other than the inital outcry of interest then silence.

Andy Turner confirmed there’s something in it on Twitter.

Not a full back page, CovTel exclusive with an interview from someone who passed him in Aisle 4 at Ricoh Tescos 3 years ago ? :) I'll be honest and say if this is as solid as is being reported, I really think it's a waste of funds. Yes, we need a CM but one who can commit to the team ethic and not someone who will be there when the feeling takes him.

I was dead against Bright for all the stories we have heard about but I really feel we must’ve missed out on a lot of targets (James, Walsh and presumably others) so I’m now at the “it’s worth the gamble” stage.

I think there will be three worst teams than us so if we’re going to be in the 15th-21st area of the table I at least want to see some exciting players. I love Kelly but the thought of him and sheaf knocking it about to each other for the season isnt exactly mouthwatering.

Kelly knocking it to Sheaf (or Shipley or James) who tries to get it back to Hyam who immediately checks back inside and turns it back to the 'keeper.

If we saw that once we saw it a thousand times last season. Still, we stayed up so fair enough I guess.

Harsh on Sheaf. He and Hamer are always looking for the progressive pass which is the reason they get caught out sometimes because when that progressive pass isn’t on they have to take on a sideways or backwards pass. At this level the extra second that takes is not always available. Hopefully with better options up front and in attacking midfield this year plus a season of experience under their belts those occasions will reduce.

This is the Telegraph we're talking about. They didn't even know Sheaf had signed until club announced it despite it being confirmed by multiple sources months earlier. They have very little inside track on the club these days.

To add to your point we had Max up front who’s movement is very limited in terms of making intelligent runs off the ball, meaning when our CDM’s looked to play a progressive pass the option was not there. When we got Walker back in the side I’m willing to bet the percentage of successful progressive passes increased

The movement ahead of the midfield was shocking at times last season. It was the thing that frustrated me the most about having Max up front.

@better days has always give us stuff well early why are people doubting it now he’s said Bright has gone on the Spain tour and there is some of the medical to finish off he’s been given a squad number & been training with the team

It's ok I don't mind taking a bit of stick, it's all in the game and all that
There's stuff I hear about that I'd never post, I usually only tend to contribute after others have mentioned things
In the case of Viktor and Bright a number of people had said they were in the frame for a while before I chimed in
Anyway time will tell
If it turns out I'm wrong Greggs can lob a couple of hand grendades in again :ROFLMAO:

Strange how he hasnt been announced before they go away. Surely if they try and picture and document the tour he will be in it

Yeah, something is off on this one, it has probably fallen through.

Standing back,it appears a bit obsessional re the sceptical/anti/dislike aspect to the comments , almost a bit like we're a bit too special.

Bit harsh on Max. Considering he played on his own for the majority his movement and ball holding was good but lets bash max where as Walker was pretty shit all season and looked like he couldnt be arsed

Not really just a dislike for a player who thought he was bigger than the club by turning up late for training etc, taking the piss out of the fans on social media with his silly little hints he was signing and a player who had one decent season league 1 before doing fck all since and being given the boot by several clubs as his attitude stin ks

Yeah that's one way of reading it but I haven't taken that view.
