Robins is a decent manager, as stated before, he did a great job at Rotherham and then went to Barnsley and got them there highest finish in the championship since they got promotion out of that league back when Danny Wilson was there manager.
So I don't see where mediocre comes into that.

Allways done it on a budget and the other thing I like about him is that when he was a player, he was a striker, unlike Coleman, Thorn ect ect.

Just been looking at Rotherham Gaz he had TWO points deductions there (-10 and -17) and an administration. They were top of the league when he left to go to Barnsley,Ronnie Moore took over and they made the play offs so it looks like he can build a decent team on a budget.

He also was the one to discover Adam Le Fondre a player we should have been after.

You're spot on Gaz. Robins has done fantastically well considering he had no money to spend at either club, and both of them were in a big slump, just like the one we're currently experiencing. Ince has had money to spend and still not been able to improve any of the teams he's managed indicating that from a managerial point of view, he is not the motivator people think he is. Maybe as a player, but not as a manager.

If there were 66 applicants then you need to take time to try and ensure that this time you get it right.

The timescale is reasonable.

His spell at Barnsley appears not to be mediocre when you consider they would have been relegated last season if not for Portsmouth's 10 point deduction!

18th first season followed by 17th the following. If its not mediocre then what is it? If not being relegated is success then roll on the good times.

66 of which 50 probably never had a chance. Ince and Brown the best we can get??? Robins would be my choice if this list is the case.

Considering the manager was gonna be in place after internationals it's taking it's time and affecting the team big time

Just asked an MK Dons fan about Ince. He said he is a brilliant motivator but clueless tactically. If he had a good assistant with him to talk tactics he'll be ok. I then cried.

I have gone for Ince, remember he was seen as a rising star until his move to Blackburn. Did a great job at Chesterfield and MK Dons the first time round. However I'm not that inspired by any of them...

Hypothetically i have joined in this vote because we all know how unreliable the information is from the newspapers.
My choice is Robins who was one of my preffered three at the start of this process.
Brown would be acceptable but definately not Ince for me.

Where did you hear that?
It was on Talksport, my Man Utd supporting mate heard it, as did others on Twitter.

He said he's good mates with Brown and advised him to go nowhere near the City job until SISU are gone effectively.

Might be a bit of chinese whispers on the details, but that was the general consensus I got.

Tbf he didn't have any money at Macclesfield Town, and came in to stabilise the club.

On 23 October 2006, Ince was confirmed as the new player-manager of Macclesfield Town in succession to Brian Horton. However, he was ineligible to play for the Silkmen until January when the transfer window opened, as Swindon Town still held his registration.[9] He joined Macclesfield with the club bottom of League Two, seven points off their nearest rivals. He then revived confidence and after a 3–0 win against Chester they managed to climb off the bottom of the table. They subsequently avoided relegation, albeit on the last day of the season. On 4 January 2007 Ince was named as League Two Manager of the Month for December.

This chart shows the difference Ince made when he came in as manager, when they looked odds on for relegation.

Not sure how big MK Dons budget was in his first spell there where they won league two and the JPT. All down hill since though, but has had more success overall than Brown yet some people turn a blind eye to his one swallow......

Franky I am not interesting in the football style a new manager will deploy. We want a manager who just wins football marches - something absent from this club for 2 years.

At the start it was a little defensive and looked as if we were happy to nick games 1-0 but that seemed to breed a winning mentality, but then it was free flowing passing football which was fantastic to watch, beating Wednesday, Wolves and Leeds in the cup along the way,

The last one who just won matches in my eyes got shafted by the club! Boothroyd wasn't a bad manager and to think we were 5th and Christmas in the championship before everything fell apart (mostly the board not telling him about the transfer embargo cheers Ray)

I'm sorry but he still had a good enough squad post Christmas. Perhaps his pre Christmas run was just his honeymoon period?

Definitely Robins for me. Just a hunch but he feels right for us at this moment. At the very least I think he would stop the rot and get us challenging at the upper half of the table, he seemed to have a big impact at Rotherham and Barnsley (when he first took over at least, and I think he left them in a better state than when he arrived). He hasn't been sacked from his position before, unlike the other two who have both been sacked from all 3 of their last jobs! Also like the fact he's an ex striker, might improve our attacking play and erase the negative, defensive mindset we've had ever since the Coleman days.

Ince's record pre-Blackburn was good but seems to have lost the plot since, I think he's definitely on a downward spiral and we should leave well alone. Brown too. You don't see many big name managers in league one and it's usually because there are better managers about who understand the lower divisions and what's required to win games. Ince and Brown are both said to be tactically clueless - isn't this what we sacked Thorn for?

He had no central midfielders for 3 games tryed to bring in 2 players only to find out he couldn't, pressure mounted and he went, Bens dad always tells my dad that if Carso and Ben had been fit all season we would have at least been in the top 10! Ranson hiding the transfer embargo from him because we didn't pay Bolton money was criminal!

1 win 5 draws and 10 losses in 16 games prior to being sacked. Redardless of the embargo carsley and turner were the only notable omissions for the majority of those games.
