Paul Ince isn't the man... had that sort of manager in before, same for Brown. Robins is something different and I think out of the 3 would be best fit. I personally still want Wise but i think that he isn't in the running now. The thing is guys, who do we honestly expect to be on the list?? We are league 1, struggling! and there just isn't the managers available!

I think whoever we bring in though will do ok... we just need a manager to start again and steady the ship initially, we can't get much worse!

Robins' teams appear to start well then decend in to free fall (ala Hoofroyd) - stats are not all that great.

Brown's stats are average to poor - plus he has the 'bit of a dick' factor.

Ince has had two blemishes to an otherwise good record.

I gotta go Ince. He's shown he can motivate and certainly has something to prove.

To be fair the Notts County story was something else.... biggest con in football. It completely fell apart there.

Ince is the only one on the list that won't take any shit from the players.

Links to Man U and Liverpool could help us in the loan market as well.

Two blemishes??
Macclesfield OK
MK Dons I Excellent (big budget)
Blackburn Awful
MK Dons II Poor
Notts County Dire
Where's the motivation in that?

Honestly I don't think Brown or Robins would either mate.

Macclesfield was Excellent not ok. You have to judge in context. The rest I agree with.

they said on cwr yesterday that he was told that ince brown were not in the final three

Yes but that was quoted by Stuart Linnell. The man talks utter drivel and just loves the sound of his own voice.

He thinks he has a a source at the club, but he knows even less than Richard Keys and John Gaunt. The man is a buffoon and is ruining the phone in on CWR.

He is a :jerkit: and says some sarcy comment before cutting the caller off so it makes the caller look like a twat

Not meaning to mislead with the Macclesfield judgement.
Gaz posted a graph of the performance there on page 6 it was nothing outstanding IMO.

They were bottom of the league 7 points adrift the nearest team, having ammassed only 5 points from 15 games having not won a game, he steered them to take 43 points in 31 games to avoid relegation. I would say that was pretty outstanding? They got relegated the following sason after he left

There are a number of posters who appear to think we have a team that is better than anything else in the league but they just need a kick up the arse.

Dear God is that all management is?

The man behind any success Ince had wherever he has been was his assistant Ray Mathias, as the fans of many of the clubs he has managed will confirm. If he gets the gig at your place and brings Mathias with him fair enough, if he comes in on his own or with someone else you should be very concerned.

And gave them a good bollocking at HT :D that was excellent :claping hands: just what we need IMO :D

Excellent?

Following that half-time bollocking Hull City went on to win just one in nineteen games immediately after. So that obviously worked .... not!

Yep, just what we need, a public bollocking backfiring on the manager. :(

Our board have said the new man would have to work with the existing back room team, so it doesn't look like there would be room for Mathias.
