As a striker he was pretty suspect but as a midfielder he definitely had a spell of good performances, can't quite remember if he supply Mick Quinn or not but it felt a special time for a while. Is Rosario not the odd-one-out in that list? I remember him being a bit crap in that red-flecked away kit.
Maybe I should go check the stats.
He scored 8 goals for us in 59 games and a whopping 34 career goals in 271 games. As a striker he was pretty suspect but as a midfielder he definitely had a spell of good performances, can't quite remember if he supply Mick Quinn or not but it felt a special time for a while.
My point exactly really. We’re willing to wait over half a season for Simms to break out of a trot but we’ve jumped all over BTA.He’s starting to play how Lampard wants him to, he starts Saturday
Hopefully they come in for JDS next. And there it is…. Stoke City have joined the race for BTA according to our fiends Pete O’Rourke.
yes he was 100% the foil for QuinnHe scored 8 goals for us in 59 games and a whopping 34 career goals in 271 games.
Rosario's first season (91/92) wasn't great under Butcher, and then Don Howe's ultra defensive side. Even Gallagher struggled in that team. Paul Furlong scored 5 goals in 8 games and then didn't score again after November or something. He blossomed the following season, and as you say formed a great partnership with Mick Quinn. Gould even played him in midfield sometimes. That first half of the 92/93 season was a special period. We were top of the league after 3 games, and the magical 5-1 Liverpool win, followed by beating Villa 3-0 on Boxing Day. Rosario was key in both of those games. As a striker he was pretty suspect but as a midfielder he definitely had a spell of good performances, can't quite remember if he supply Mick Quinn or not but it felt a special time for a while.
If we get over 3 million for Lati & BTA, and manage to bring in 3-4 players (1-2 loans), then that's good business. Neither player will start against Bristol City. And there it is…. Stoke City have joined the race for BTA according to our fiends Pete O’Rourke.
So would ITo quote MR when we signed him, 'he gives us something diffrent'
Its not worked out for BTA here, that's not to say there isn't a good player there, but he's not shown it enough in glimpses or opportunities that he's had.
Wish him well, reinvest the money and move on.
At the time we had essentially no backup options at striker. The general response to his signing was extremely positive.Always thought BTA was a bit of an odd signing it wasn't something it looked like wee needed so wouldn't be surprised at all to see him move on...

Had the best thighs on the pitch thoughAs a striker he was pretty suspect but as a midfielder he definitely had a spell of good performances, can't quite remember if he supply Mick Quinn or not but it felt a special time for a while.
Realise Haji has been injured but bearing in mind he usually features in a game, most often off the bench, do we get another player in?
In an ideal world I’d keep him and send Bassette out on loan.

Don’t worry he’ll catch the Stoke bus insteadDeal is off. Missed the bus to Blackburn apparently. My mate just seen him running around Pool Meadow.
Or just a zoom call so they can see what a nice lad he is....BTA has been pictured by City's socials at training, so nothing imminent predicted as you'd imagine he'd be off for medicals if that was the case.
Admin should photoshop some random into a training pic then sit back and watch everyone on here losing their minds trying to work out who it isBTA has been pictured by City's socials at training, so nothing imminent predicted as you'd imagine he'd be off for medicals if that was the case.
