He didn't know which side his bread was buttered on then... ( not a criticism of him ). It clearly states that the site has been identified by the Sky blues to build a stadium. And Les has revealed it. What more could he have said? If he said "a" site, then you could infer there was more than one. The quote says "the" site. It is the one where a stadium is to be built and has been found by the Sky Blues. The inference being that it is the site that the Sky Blues were looking for. No. You can't wriggle out of that. Les was wrong. I don't know why.
But who has said 100% on here they think ccfc will build at the butts?Because for some sad people all they want to do is blame CCC for all our ills. And now we will get lots more of it after it looks like Reid and others were wrong.
Richardson fucked up. Higgs fucked up. CCC fucked up. SISU fucked up. And there were others that fucked up. But if you listened to some on here only you would think that all of our problems are down to CCC.

I said we'd never be moving to the m. Butts. More astute facts. Have you been on a Simon Gilbert training course?
Richardson again. I know it's panto season soon but you are sinking to the depths of skybluetony in your absurdity.
You know what's funny? Reading stuff like this and knowing what I know compared to what you think you know.I guess if you're over in Germany, opportunities to dig deeper are limited to Internet ferreting, but it's actually not that hard to find out what might be going on if you speak to people and keep your ear to the ground.
Very few people seem to have picked up on the major obstacle to all of this: the council. If the clubs & CCC and other national & EU bodies can come together, something good could be done if there is willingness for the clubs & council to work together. If not then it's a non-starter.
Bear in mind that it wasn't too long ago that the idea of an alleged new stadium in Coventry was itself, a non-starter, due to the position of the owner. Someone has been particularly persuasive maybe?
But, yeah...unless there is any willingness to move this forward, it ain't going to happen. However, it is very possible to build a suitable stadium in the Butts.
RobS has been sucked in before as the mouthpiece of Les and his sources. Nothing against RobS.
Good Lord, you're on fire tonight
You might consider that I have my own sources. And I'm perfectly capable of mouthing off for myself thank you...as is Les which why there's no point doing it on his behalf.
The headline says "Coventry United FC in talks over Butts Park Arena ground share with Coventry Rugby Club" and this is confirmed by statements from NAMED representatives from both clubs. How much more substance do you want? The statements confirm the headline. It's not even like the article says it's a given that it will happen. Just the opposite in fact. Simon clearly done some homework and found out what obstacles will be in the way. I really can't see why you have a problem with the article. You clearly have a problem with the CT and it seems to have clouded your judgment of the article. Either that or you haven't actually read it.
I get the feeling that there has been a change of heart, yes. Also, it'll be interesting to see how things pan out after the JR appeal etc.Tim retracting the statement he made to RBC would be a good place to start. Presumably SISU's investors are now willing to work with CCC?
It would in the championship.
We will not be going to the butts but it's a laugh anyway.
You had enough goes at me and others for giving reasons why we didn't see it happening or even being true.
Have you been on a Billy Bullshit course?
So other than the Butts what are your sources saying?

My fourth post on this thread.
Oh dear
Threaten Martcov and Tony for a duel on a match day thread. Say you will be blindfolded with a water pistol and allow them rocket launchers.
You'll be fine. You know they will never turn up.

Heh...pick a patch of grass in the Coventry 'area' ;-) Also, that I'm going down the pub so we can pick this up on Sunday lunchtime...
And that makes up for all of the crap and insults that you come out with?
I really can't think of a reason why TF wouldn't.

It is not possible to build a suitable stadium at the Butts. It may be possible to build a suitable stadium in Coventry. If you know so much ( I hope you do ), can you tell us if a study has been done comparing renting from Wasps with some revenues against renting a smaller stadium from SISUs Propco?
Thought everyone was keen for him to keep his mouth shut? Even if he did say something like that it would just get a response of 'more BS from Fisher'.
He does get taken seriously though doesn't he?If he started retracting some of the obvious BS he's spouted his customer base might be able to take what he says a little more seriously. Being taken seriously is probably something he should be striving to achieve given his position do you not think?
He could have said Coventry city are building a stadium at the butts, which would have said to me it's a goer.
Surely no journalist or paper should have their bread buttered, but you don't have an issue with those that do?
What insults? When you keep telling lies what do you expect?
I have been extremely critical of Richardson and have started threads regarding sisu which have been highly critical.
You seem to struggle with fact absorption of the written word.
It says they have identified the site, that's a long way a way from it happening...He said the Sky Blues ( CCFC ). The site to build a stadium. How hard is that to figure out?
What a load of bollocks as usual. If you have been highly critical of Richardson why do you make out that our present predicament has nothing to do with him?
The nonsense about investors not dealing with CCC is absurd and was another glib comment.
Anyone who remotely believed that's how a hedge fund investment portfolio works really is beyond help.
Out of interest when did you last go to the butts and look at the surrounding land?
