That's the danger
Who gets a ticket in the Prem want be decided on loyalty.
You may get first option if you are an existing season ticket holder then let's hope you can afford it.
However it you can make most of the matches but miss some due to personal circumstances so can't get a season ticket. You could get screwed over by a new fan, a returning fan or the corporate section that will re kindle it's interest.
So we shouldn't move to the Butts in case somebody can't get a ticket in the Premier League?
Let's be a bit more realistic and honest about things, we have a long way to go before we get a look in anywhere close to the top of the championship. To do that we would need a new owner, which we would struggle to get as is. We saw how put off people were with the stadium situation before SISU came in.
I get that Nick but but 15.000 take off away fans , take off no mans land , and there's notThey would have to do a system for selling tickets with a smaller capacity. There would be season tickets, memberships and then somebody like yourself who does go a lot should then get preference over Dave from Bedworth who just wants to go and see Eden Hazard.
With Ticketmaster now, there is a lot more power to do things properly I think.
And on top of everything else, there is absolutely nothing in SISUs history with us that
makes me think they will ever deliver on anything they say.
Nick, do you think we will build at 25k capacity stadium at the Butts?
Not sure about anyone else but Otis, Brylowes, Dongo et all have got me really excited.
Within the next couple of years we're going to have a couple of promotions and have thirty thousand sell out crowds week after week.

Ok let's not aspire to anything, let's just settle and be thankful.
Yes we are miles from the prem, but we were a gnats knacker from the championship.
And anyway if we're not going to progress, we may as well not progress at the Ricoh,
Rather than paying out millions and getting saddled with more dept to not progress.

Nick just sent 2 posts to torch but only the quote appears?I have no idea, this ideas seems to have got further than the others in the fact they have actually spoken to somebody...
As with everything, it is being spoken about as a "what if". I haven't started looking at bus routes.

I think they hurriedly spoke to Rugby didn't they , when FOIs started getting bandied about wasn't it.I think they spoke to Rugby Council as well. Regarding an 18k stadium that can rise to 23k.

Why did the Rugby one never get off the ground.

We shouldn't need to give Wasps fuck all. I hope Exeter stuff them today.
I do believe as is we can make the championship, I do think at the very most we would be lucky to be a mid table championship club.Shame you are so negative, Torch. Wait til CC4L gets on here.
If you don't believe it possible we can make the Championship in 3 years, then so be it and if you don't think it possible we can make the Premier League in 10, then, oh well, not much else to say is there.
No-one is saying we WILL do it, but to deny it is possible is quite sad I would say.
Great to see Wasps lose today...a trophy-less season for them...brilliant. And do you know what...I met with Exeter Chiefs through the week and was talking to them about their preseason plans. By and large, they wanted to keep things local as they appreciate how important the local community is. If only every rugby club was like that...
Anyway, at a friends wedding in Edinburgh tonight so going to raise a glass to Exeter. I recommend the castle if anyone ever comes up this way. Nice.
Laters...

Just can't see how we can compete with the parachute payments
Id be very happy with that, it's much more realistic than all of the premier league stuff. We be happy with mid-table Championship for now wouldn't we?
4 or 5 seasons in the Championship and then see where we are.

I watched Wasps today. First time ever.
Obviously wnated them to lose so was rooting for Exeter.
Perfect!!

No idea, hence why I think it should be looked into further not written off as impossible on day one. If it works out at a net benefit to the club over x number of years against staying at the Ricoh why would our owners prefer to stay?
Again, nobody has seen them hence throwing the idea out as impossible is ridiculous.

I don't believe anyone would build a stadium without any aspiration one day.
Not read what Torch has said in previous posts (watch SBK pick me up on that...) but if I he's said what I reckon he's said, then we never really broke 25k regularly in the PL. One off games maybe.
And people bang on about how much SISU has damaged our levels of support especially with future generations but then question the notion of a stadium of 25k max? I guess when the argument suits eh. And that's not aimed at you Otis you little one liner monkey you.
If Bournmouth had done it I would have applauded them.Interesting point really. If Scunthorpe or Rochdale went and built a 30K plus stadium would we applaud them for being aspirational or think they were being a bit stupid?
Yes this has been debated already.
SISU need the stadium to sell the club, if someone buys us who can get us to the premier league. They will hampered by a stadium that can never develop beyond 25k.
The premier league had changed massively since we were there it is far more popular and you will need more than a 25k stadium.
Swansea have around 20k capacity and they have 8000 people waiting for season tickets.
They have had permission to extend to 30k for two years yet it still hasn't happened.
Enjoy the wedding and the champers!
Yeah, but Swansea are kinda like Norwich aren't they in terms of location and local competition.
Anyway, cheers Dong.
