If we sign Doyle and resign COH we are getting promoted.

New GK
MVE Thomas Binks Doyle
Sheaf Rudoni
COH
Saka Simms Wright

Is the best XI in the division

New GK
MVE Thomas Binks Doyle
Sheaf TORP
Rudoni
Saka Simms Wright

Subs

Wilson
Bidwell/DaSilva
Kitching
RCB
RB
DM

Tav
Palmer
LW
ST

If we got a new GK, Wilson is happy as backup but can't see Collins staying. And unless DaSilva is pushed forward, LW cover is needed, as is a reliable goalscorer to back up Simmo.

I mean you've missed off EMC who is a LW and Rodrigues who can play on both flanks.

Oops, forgot EMC. Been so much news since, his signing has been overshadowed a bit.

And haven't seen him but think Raphael will be spared the first team squad for a while. Let him have time to acclimatise to English football.

Because by default if they are 2v1 against Wright then we have an overload somewhere else. Exactly where depends on our/their formation.
the overload is created by their rw being able to double up due to doyle then stading at lcb - ego the place where we have more players than them unless they are playing 3 strikers would be at cb as we would have 3 cb's then against 1 or 2 strikers

Let me guess, we are signing him for £20m payable on promotion, first installment £2m, they are buying Ubkwo from us (coincidentally for £2m) and have an obligatory buy back clause of £16m should we fail to get promoted? Always said - I love me a bit of FFP scenanignans. HMS P!ss the League, ahoy!

If we saw him as a 6 who played a HB role where he starts as a CDM and can step back to make it a 3 in possession allowing both fullbacks to stay high while offering a bit more cover at the back.

Could work, he has the pass range.

My thoughts exactly. Could be an epic move.

Done some digging as to the source of the rumour, or my son has through his socials. No names mentioned but its from a lady friend of one of the playing staff at the club. It doesn't say its a definite signing at the start but in the chat exchange from the lady the poster has said that the member of staff said it says its being announced at 6pm today. DONT SHOOT THE MESSENGER! I am just letting you know what was said.

So much talk these days about fullbacks stepping into midfield, and making it sound like a new invention.

I’m certain Gordon Milne often did that with us in the late 70s (4-2-4 became 3-3-4 depending on the circumstances). Nobody called Mick Coop or Bobby Mac an ‘inverted fullback’ though.
Bobby Mac used to invert a few wingers in his time! A proper "no nonsense" tackler

This just seems to be getting more and more traction

There's a lad called Daniel Mcglinchley on twitter who's confirmed it, and he got Hamer to Sheff Utd before it was common knowledge, Simms, Sakamoto and O'Hares hamstring injury before anyone else knew

So going off him saying it's done then I suggest we all get the baby oil and kleenex out for 6pm

That's the same guy that said as fact we were signing Styles, Vente & Yates last summer isn't it?
