is this one of the reasons why AV left/fired/asked to leave or whatever? or do you have any info on that?MR wanted O'hare to stay, C.O. was on £10k a week and DK offered £11k which was instantly rejected. The offer eventually got increased to £12k a week take it or leave it, but by that time O'hare's agent had received offers from other championship sides of double that offer so the club were informed that CO was leaving. (This all happened before Rudoni was signed)
Apparently AV was fuming that we hadn't made an effort to keep O'hare, and he and DK had a blazing row, DK said that we'd paid O'hare a fortune over the 12 months that he was injured and was reluctant to end up in a Jodie Jones situation.
That's what I've been told, if you choose not to believe it that's fine, if you'd sooner I not post what I've heard then just say so and I'll keep it to myself, but I don't need some random total bell end like @shepard01 giving me grief over info I've offered to genuine fans.
Incidentally, DK got Oly Dovins transfer fee halved, in order to meet his wage demands which apparently put him up there with the highest paid players at the club.
Allen did really well in our playoff season and was my motm a few times in crucial games (don’t ask me to name them). Last season was obviously a bit of a ‘write off’ for him and I think it’s going to be tough for him to get back in the side.I don't rate Palmer particularl myself... do rate Allen(!) But it's fair to say they've both been casually dismissed out of hand, so why shouldn't O'Hare casually dismiss us out of hand? Loyalty works two ways.
Yes. We expect loyalty but think it's fine to write this sort of stuff about players. Not really getting all the hate towards COH.
Some fans even wishing he gets career threatening injuries......Fuck sake.
Get a grip....in fact, get a life.....sad bitter little keyboard bashers
If you're suggesting he won't want to play against us i think you're wrong.O'Hare has made the right choice... if Sheff Utd are throwing out 4 year contracts on silly money for a player who has been injured for more than half of the last 2 years and scores about one goal every 9 games he does play (including league 1!) them more fool them!
All he adds is work rate, and since his knee, that's not been the same
We'd already replaced him 2/3 times over and he wasn't even our player anymore so the gloating from Sheff Utd extra amusing!
Probably wont be fit for the CBS return anyway
Can vouch for @shepardo01 being sound. He’s devilishly handsome as well. 10/10, would bang.
Ahh okay. My bad.It was away at Birmingham.
If it was anything close to that (I know nothing about the MLS) that would presumably be his signing on fee and wages combined as well as possibly some other commercial / sponsorship things.100k p/w to play in the MLS. Alright, Jay from The Inbetweeners. People are still grovelling for his wisdom.
My bad.It was against Birmingham.
On a very surface level Palmer is a good watch, i want to like him i really do, but fuck me he's frustrating and at times genuinely dangerous as he sets away needless counter attacks for the opposition.
It's only a very small part of the reason.is this one of the reasons why AV left/fired/asked to leave or whatever? or do you have any info on that?
Has he got an OnlyFans? Asking for a friend.
O'Hare shat down his arm you know100k p/w to play in the MLS. Alright, Jay from The Inbetweeners. People are still grovelling for his wisdom.
i assume this coinsides with Dr Roberts coaching appraoch? is it AV is "old Skool" and this new way isnt something that he wants to be a part of, and/or doesnt have the skills to deliver? It's only a very small part of the reason.
We are moving to a more modern "statistic driven" training approach. (Whatever that means???) And the coaching systems are having a complete overhaul.
MR wasn't happy about a number of things including taking far too long for the players to get match fit at the start of last season, and players taking months to fit into a system. And not getting the balance of training and recovery right that cost us so many points at the end of the season.
That's very basically the crux of it.
We are having a new training type of set up which is not what AV is used to, so fresh blood is being brought in.
I think there's probably an element of freshening things up as well.i assume this coinsides with Dr Roberts coaching appraoch? is it AV is "old Skool" and this new way isnt something that he wants to be a part of, and/or doesnt have the skills to deliver?
either way, big change, and i hope it develops well this season.
Ferguson changed assistant managers at Man Utd quire regularly, I think after the initial shock this is a good thing some nice fresh ways of doing things and hopefully no more chelsea playersI think there's probably an element of freshening things up as well.
AV was quite an abrasive character, and I think he would of prevented any younger coaches from implementing their ideas.
(That's my personal thoughts)
I haven't heard anything about the accusations of bullying, so that's probably BS.
I think this is the key to it all really. If you take sentiment out of it, O'Hare is 26 with an ACL tear on his record. Even if he was outstanding for us we'd be unlikely to get a big fee for him at 28+ and we'll always have the risk of the injury reoccuring. Rudoni is younger, no injury risk and someone we can look to turn a profit on in 2/3 years. All I know is that MR wanted to keep O'hare, or replace him with similar quality.
DK then sanctioned the purchase of Rudoni who had been discussed for quite a while.
Rudoni is younger than O'hare and is thought capable of playing in the premier league, and could also have a higher resale value, and hasn't had an ACL injury which effects future transfer value.
Rudoni is three years younger played around the same amount of games as ohare and has a fairly similar scoring record but has been doing it in awful team.I think this is the key to it all really. I watched the City Unseen of our game at Huddersfield and there is one clip in there where turns and drives with the ball to play somebody in, his turn and dribbling pace was impressive as it was Haji Wright he got away fromI've heard, and I don't know if any ITKs can confirm, that people at the club have been really impressed with Rudoni.
It will allow us to play players like Torp in their correct position going forward. Torp is clearly an 8 but playing with a 10 means he isnt utilised properly.I think this is the key to it all really. If you take sentiment out of it, O'Hare is 26 with an ACL tear on his record. You’re right they weren’t PL but were the best team in the championship by a country mile that season. SU are not in the same position by any stretch ATM.I don't disagree with your post, but being anally retentive I have to point out they weren't PL at that point!
They were. At the start of the season though they had an untried manager, had lost their experience, were changing their style of play... not (m)any tipped them to be as dominant as they ended up.You’re right they weren’t PL but were the best team in the championship by a country mile that season.
