The whole move was excellent and makes those who claim Wright is lazy look like idiots.Rewatched fa cup TV coverage yesterday and that o hare pass to wright in extra time!. Fuck we should have won on 3 different occasions.
wright's not lazy, he's just laidback. The whole move was excellent and makes those who claim Wright is lazy look like idiots.
Don't really see how a top 10 prem club signing a 26yo who's never played higher than the championship can be brilliantWhy? O'Hare on a free is a brilliant bit of business for West Ham.
Especially as they have players better in his role and are looking at getting to the next level.Don't really see how a top 10 prem club signing a 26yo who's never played higher than the championship can be brilliant
Exactly, I like O'hare, great player for us and would keep him if possible.Especially as they have players better in his role and are looking at getting to the next level.
He's not as good as say Benrahma who they have shipped out
Surely a fair few of prem players when they make their debut has played at a lesser standard - only the overseas named players have come from maybe a better standard - Gyok if he moves is exactly the same - lesser club - lesser league - doesn't mean it cannot be a brilliant signing, just depends on what the player goes on to achieveDon't really see how a top 10 prem club signing a 26yo who's never played higher than the championship can be brilliant
Mason-Clark will soon be 25 and has never played higher than League 1. Sorry if this triggers TomRad.Don't really see how a top 10 prem club signing a 26yo who's never played higher than the championship can be brilliant
Good luck to him , was annoyed about his leaving and not signing but my god is his ability disrespected on here at times
Don't really see how a top 10 prem club signing a 26yo who's never played higher than the championship can be brilliant
Yes but Gyok is clearly the best player in the league.Surely a fair few of prem players when they make their debut has played at a lesser standard - only the overseas named players have come from maybe a better standard - Gyok if he moves is exactly the same - lesser club - lesser league - doesn't mean it cannot be a brilliant signing, just depends on what the player goes on to achieve
So he's 24. And has been one of the best players in the league, Cal hasn't.Mason-Clark will soon be 25 and has never played higher than League 1. Sorry if this triggers TomRad.
Because teams like West Ham need depth. He's a cheap gamble.
It's easy to forget how good he is. In that period he came back, he was playing well above this level.
Jamie Vardy went from non league to the championship, to the Premier league to winning the Premier league!Don't really see how a top 10 prem club signing a 26yo who's never played higher than the championship can be brilliant
He was for a period after he came back.Yes but Gyok is clearly the best player in the league.
So he's 24. And has been one of the best players in the league, Cal hasn't.
West ham (or any other Premier league team) could sign him on a free, then sell him back to a championship side next season for 4 or 5 million. He was nowhere near a top 10 premier league level.
He was more top end Championship.
What championship team will match 40k a week (for 2/3 years) after he's sat on the bench for a year?West ham (or any other Premier league team) could sign him on a free, then sell him back to a championship side next season for 4 or 5 million.
If they pay him £40k a week (£2 million a year) they'll easily double their money without him even needing to kick a ball.
It's a financial win win situation!
They are spending 25 million quid on a Brazilian who can play 10 or left or right.Because teams like West Ham need depth. He's a cheap gamble.
It's easy to forget how good he is. In that period he came back, he was playing well above this level.
O'Hare isn't as good as himJamie Vardy went from non league to the championship, to the Premier league to winning the Premier league!
Any championship team getting parachute payments. Or any championship club selling players to the Premiership, or rich foreign clubs for big money. Or any championship club with rich backers. What championship team will match 40k a week (for 2/3 years) after he's sat on the bench for a year?
No one in the championship is going to pay him 40k a week, he'll end up staying at West Ham the whole of his contract then leaving on a free if that happened.Any championship team getting parachute payments. Or any championship club selling players to the Premiership, or rich foreign clubs for big money. Or any championship club with rich backers.
£40k a week is £2 million a year, if you sell a Gyokeres type for £20 million your laughing.
We could sell Sheaf for £10 million and afford to pay a player £40k a week plus £4million transfer fee. Over a 3 year contract we've spent nothing (effectively) and could even make a profit if we sell after 2 years.
They are spending 25 million quid on a Brazilian who can play 10 or left or right.
They are shopping above that level
He was nowhere near a top 10 premier league level.
He was more top end Championship.
£40k a week wouldn't even get him near the top wages payed to championship players THIS season, never mind 2 seasons time.No one in the championship is going to pay him 40k a week, he'll end up staying at West Ham the whole of his contract then leaving on a free if that happened.
JWP and Harrison left?£40k a week wouldn't even get him near the top wages payed to championship players THIS season, never mind 2 seasons time.
If you've got parachute payments you could easily pay £40k. Southampton were paying Ward-Prowse £100k a week, and over £40k to a number of others, Leicester were paying over £80k a week to a number of their players. Leeds were paying Jack Harrison £100k a week and others £50k+
We are near the bottom of the Championship for squad budgets, and yet are supposedly paying our top earners £25k a week.
For Premier league football, but their contracts were valid after relegation.JWP and Harrison left?
No, he's not at the level they want as a back up. He is not good enough to step in at a PL team who wants to be chasing Europe. They will be getting O'Hare on a free. If their expensive midfielders get injured, he's a good player to step in.
Because he's English and freeDon't really see how a top 10 prem club signing a 26yo who's never played higher than the championship can be brilliant
And not good enough for the level they aim to be at.Because he's English and free
No triggering me. I like O'Hare and I think EMC will make a few on here look like absolute chumps.Mason-Clark will soon be 25 and has never played higher than League 1. Sorry if this triggers TomRad.
Who will he make look like a chump? I don’t think anyone has said they don't rate him. For my part I haven’t seen him play. I was just stating a fact which you seem to think means I don't rate him. I was just rebutting the view that Wright is somehow going to be left out of the team because we bought Mason-Clark.No triggering me. I like O'Hare and I think EMC will make a few on here look like absolute chumps.

Well we've been here before haven't we.. what was your point exactly?Who will he make look like a chump? I don’t think anyone has said they don't rate him. For my part I haven’t seen him play. I was just stating a fact which you seem to think means I don't rate him.
That it's unlikely that Wright won't start the season because we bought Mason-Clark. I thought I was quite clear.Well we've been here before haven't we.. what was your point exactly?
