That it's unlikely that Wright won't start the season because we bought Mason-Clark. I thought I was quite clear.
OK so him coming from a league 1 team is a complete irrelevance. You going to remind us of this complete irrelevance if he does well or only if he doesn't work out?

I think I've said it before on here that I think some on here talk about even the most bog standard of Premier League players as if they are super human. Loads of Wolves players I thought looked very average against us and obviously even some players at Man Utd. Think O'Hare could do ok in the Prem... not spectacular, but fine.

Wolves had an injury crisis tbf and had no strikers

It's quite feasible that they both could start.

EMC could play as a second striker or AM.
Much depends on who else we bring in and who may go.

Either way I think EMC looks like a great signing (on paper at least) and gives us options and some much needed cover.

Yeh i agree with you, we could go with a formation that sees them both start. If not we'll see more rotation as we'll have 2 quality players in that position, so he will on occasion start in place of Wright regardless.

if you're weak in one area of the pitch it compromises all of the others
Poor Wolves struggling to get by... how weak is weak? Wasn't Pablo Sarabia playing in one of the forward positions?
Do we have an excuse for Man Utd too?

Exactly, he's not a forward.

United took off Mainoo for the pedestrian Eriksen and immediately lost control of the game

I don't really understand your point. I've said that not all players that play Prem football are as good as some people make out you're saying United were poor after taking a couple of players off, which is kind of what i'm saying.

Tbf, united were 3-0 up after an hour when they decided to rest Garnacho, who was bossing the game.

If Torps goal had counted, the substitution of Garnacho would probably go down as one of the worst substitutions in history.

I mean they are generally. One game isn't evidence of anything.

You only have to look at Burnley who kept much of the same players/style as in the championship and got dicked.

I really can't be arsed to go back and forth on this. Do you think if O'Hare was playing in the Prem he'd stand out as being obviously a lot worse than some of the players already playing there? Because i don't, personally. I'm sticking to it so we'll have to agree to disagree.

O'Hare will easily be able to play in the Premier League. I am not sure how much use he'll be for a struggling team away at Man City or Arsenal, but in those 6-pointer games towards the bottom he will be an asset no doubt.

I don’t think he improves a team that finished 9th in any way, that’s my point.

No, he's not at the level they want as a back up. He is not good enough to step in at a PL team who wants to be chasing Europe.

Sorry but it's delusional to think he is.

No one knows until they see him there. Every PL team needs depth and West Ham aren't in the position to fill their squad with superstars. A cheap gamble for them.

Yes but I doubt Wright will be dropped which was what you were saying.

It was his attitude that was the problem. Turning it on for the first time in his City career when he needed a move then immediately turning it back off again. That and generally acting a bit billy big bollocks.
he clearly has natural talent. add to that the years of sacrifice spent training, and i have no issue with him acting a bit billy big bollocks.

anyway, for all we know, he may have been christened william, and may have unusually large testicles.

It was all down hill after that rap video the club released.

Yeah some people said James Maddison wouldn't cut it in the Premier league and oh look he's in the England squad, some people what do they know. 🙈

Totally agree. Some /most players in the premiership are just average and very lucky. Just saying 🤔

He’ll probably end up at Burnley, realistically. They wanted him before he did his ACL, and perhaps interim manager Bellend will make it happen.

Personally I could see him at a club like Fulham, Bournemouth or wolves (specially if Neto go's). He has the ability for the prem. If he signs for another championship club, I'd think it's a bit of a dick move.

OHare....too much of a luxury player for a Prem team down the bottom for majority of games imo and not good enough for a mid table Prem side either
deserves a shot at the Prem though and would like him to prove me wrong
