OHare....too much of a luxury player for a Prem team down the bottom for majority of games imo and not good enough for a mid table Prem side either
deserves a shot at the Prem though and would like him to prove me wrong
He's the opposite to a luxury player. The bloke runs his bollocks off, tracks back, hassles opponents. Honestly some of the opinions about him are ludicrous. It’s like you’ve never actually seen him play before

He used to. Hasn’t done that for a couple of years
Not having that - and about a year of that he's been out with a serious injury. Your insinuation is either that he's either 'not tried' or deteriorated from 2 years ago. From this side of his injury. there was bound to be a getting up to speed period and a degree of inconsistency early on afterwards. I've never ever questioned his commitment on the pitch.

He’s not done it at all since he came back. Even when he was trying.

It’s OK lads he’s basically not our player any more. You don’t have to get so defensive.

I always want ex Cov players to do well unless they leave on a free against the best interests of the club.

Ohare turned down our offer to maximise his own financial position.

Seems a good guy but I don’t care whether he progresses or not, just as he doesn’t care whether we do.

Why the bitterness? He was a great player for us.

The snarky comment about maximising his financial position. He's not a fan like us and wants to play at the highest level he can like most footballers. Our ambition doesn't meet his and it's a short career.

Players are supposed to be loyal to clubs, who will get rid of them as soon as they deem them surplus to requirements, and whose fans abuse them on social media.

If you think that’s what drove his decision not to sign a short term extension then fine. I don’t.

He could have signed a new contract with City with an explicit release clause if a Prem Club had offered X. He didn’t because he wanted more of the pie for himself.

Footballers having a short career is a very out of date view. They break in at 17-18, instantly earn good money, and can still be playing 20 years later as we saw in the champions league final last night.

They then retire and never need to work again, ever. This applies to players like COH.

No tears being shed by me for COH. He’s set for life.

Some of you are just clueless, that’s the issue. To say he wasn’t putting in the effort is ridiculous.

I wish him well because he’s served us well, never kicked up a fuss about wanting to leave.

Some people on here wanted us to sell him the other year if I recall because he ‘flatters to deceive’. Then when he came back in the team and was destroying teams some of you were saying give him what he wants , we cannot lose him.

Now he is leaving you’re calling him shit, lazy, a chav etc. I don’t blame him for fucking off

This is depressing to see. I'm sad to see O'Hare go, because he was such a good payer, and his enthusiasm seems infectious, so a loss to the dressing room, although he talks, and I'm saying this at the young (please agree with me) age of 31, a bit too "different", for me.

As I always say, he doesn't owe us anything, and was a professional right up till the end of his contract. Wish him good luck, and we replace, same as we have done for over 140 years as a club!

Agreed. His form dipped over the last few games, Semi aside but not sure that’s anything to do with downing tools. Thanks for the memories COH (feel free to U-turn and sign up) 😉

Can’t remember what game it was, but near the end of the season he had to be rested for the next game because he’d ran 14km in the previous one a few days before. His effort cannot be debated.
He ran 17km in the semi final at Wembley and had to miss the Hull game on the Wednesday after.
He leaves with my best wishes for all he's done for the club, I'm sure most fans wish him well. But, as I've said before, if he ends up signing for Leicester I'll hate him forever

Can't disagree with the last part

I think we should have offered him a one year extension when he got the ACL. He’s realised the best outcome and we’ve realised the worst outcome for us. He has successfully come back from the ACL and fucked off for nothing.

He’s not our player anymore and can stick to posing with GoYard handbags on Instagram.

2020: 2 tackles per game
2021: 1.3
2022: 0.7
2023: 1.1

It’s just a fact that the last two years he tackles less than the previous two.

I’m not sure we would have got the insurance cover for a new contract whilst he was injured
