To the tune of “Logical song” by supertramp

Oh his name’s Mason Clarke and he is so wonderful,
When he gets the ball oh he’s so beautiful,
Magical
When he runs with ball, he’s fast as lightning,
Its frightening,
And he makes all the city sing
Dudududud (for the chorus)

Always hated that song - together with 'We're only making plans for Nigel'
Mainly because it reminds me of one bloke I encountered that wound me up like no other, and I should have given a smack, but never did. Haven't seen him in decades, but I'd still feel like that now if I ran into him.
P.S. I get on with nearly everybody, so it's a tough club to get into.

Considering our history of booing every ex-player, what response will O'Hare get when we play away at Leeds in September?

If COH goes to Leeds and they don’t go up that’s the time to laugh . I still want him here with us on our journey. Bad move Cal you won’t get the love we give you just a whippet and a yornshire pudding 🤦‍♂️

Its not beyond the realms of possibility if he signs for another Championship club he could still be in the Championship when we're in the Premier League
Aah yes the Jordan Willis cock up - went to Sunderland because he assumed they were going up to the championship… only for us to piss the league and Sunderland remain there for 2 more seasons

I've long since come to terms with Ohare moving on, and as much as I'd miss him I have to say I don't see Leeds being the right club for him. In fact I think it would be a disaster.
I think Southampton or West ham would be far better, but even then he'd be nothing more than a squad player, and would never get the love he gets here.

He’s basically moving for a payday.

Is there an argument to say it’s the clubs fault for not offering an extension by say 18 months when he was initially injured

There is a definite argument for that your right, but if we had signed him on a longer contract and he ended up being crocked and half the player he was, can you imagine the uproar on here. Hindsight is a wonderful thing 👍

He’s leaving us on a free not to pursuit his football dream of playing in the Premier League but to line his and agent’s pockets in the championship ….

It was fun for the first part but the last 18 months were very forgettable ….. next !

As he should
I’m not sure As he should is correct. It’s not the only credible decision for him to take.

Lots of people have the chance to swap companies / jobs for more money but choose not to because they like the environment, their work colleagues, they believe in loyalty etc etc.

It’s his option to move but he could equally logically stay on fabulous money, at a club on the up, with team mates he loves, and remain living at home etc etc that would also be a sensible decision.

Suddenly the love for Callum O'Hare seems to be on the wane. Is it because it's hitting home that he's actually about to move , finally?
He's in it for the money. He's a journeyman chancer who will likely spend the rest of his career moving from club to club if he doesn't get what he thinks is the standard of football, and attention , that he deserves.
He has an inflated opinion of himself and I will be glad to see the back of him. He's got a lot of talent , of that there is no question but whether he's good enough to play in the top flight and, importantly, keep a regular place in any team in that division is questionable. For me he's a good player in the championship and a squad player in the Premier league . Scored some good goals, important ones at that, but he will be replaced and forgotten about in the not too distant future.
