Slightly annoyed by this, but money talks I suppose.

All we can hope for is we go up and the blades don’t , that will do nicely

Apparently they’ve been in it for Months and he was waiting for a prem club to come in for him which they didn’t.

So Utd only decent offer on the table.

Just going for the money and you can’t blame him for that.

Same with Hamer last year. Choice of one. Like you say, it's about the money. Wish him all the best. Heroes come and go.

He was a good player in L1, then stepped up to be a good player in the Championship, but he was never a great player. I'm sad he's gone, but more from a nostaligic perspective than anything else. Apart from his hot streak when he first came back from injury, he's been underwhelming when it comes to goals and assists, and as a CAM that should be your bread and butter stuff.

Chris wilder says there isn't a club in the championship , and some in the Premier league that wouldn't relish working with cal .

Again , would he start for us next season ??
Well he wasn't starting last season and we've strengthened since then so he was unlikely to be the first name on the team sheet to put it lightly.

Not too fussed tbh. would I have been happy if he'd stayed? sure I would but this isn't Hamer or Vik leaving and we did ok without them.

If I was in their position I wouldn't be so certain they're going straight back up. at this stage I'd say there's as much chance of us going up as them. Definitely not the foregone conclusion most of their fans seem to think it is.

We all know the vast majority of moves are financially motivated but I'm struggling to think of an example where that's been more obvious. Even when Willis fucked off to Sunderland you could believe he genuinely thought there was more chance of promotion.

Did he turn down all those Premier League clubs Wilder is on about because he was desperate to move to them :ROFLMAO:

Wilder needs to big up every signing he can, they’re still dealing in free transfers until a white knight appears or Gus is sold. He has failed in his last 2 jobs in this division, he will not get much patience from the ownership this season either.

Dawkins has just said on Twitter he was offered 100k a week to play in the MLS and turned it down. Surely bollocks.
Nah absolutely true. Why would he want to move to Cali, Florida or NY for 100K a week when he can move to Sheffield for £25K a week

Expect his little circle will be windmilling now because they all bigged up Premier League and top end European clubs and he's ended up still in the Championship

Well, you know what I mean. Popular players. Most on here were coming in their pants when he scored against Leicester. Look at them now.

I've been spoilt over the years following Coventry City. I doubt he would make my all time great 5th team.

No, nor mine. It was a turn of phrase, that's all. No more than that.

Part of me is massively gutted he's not with us anymore. The logical part of me thinks he's not a huge loss on the basis he's hardly played over the last 2 years.
I’d accepted a very long time ago that he was off. I’m just genuinely surprised he’s stayed in this division and it clearly is far from his first choice.

If his poor form continues, it’s another expensive contract for Sheff Utd to service.
