Sheaf and Eccles have obviously been excellent in the last game, but if we are signing a marquee player to replace Hamer - who is getting dropped? You could argue there isn't much between those two.

Seems like it might be an uncomfortable conversation topic for some on here, but in reality it is going to happen if we splash out £5m on a central midfielder. There won't be room for everyone.
Eccles drops out

Eccles has been really good but Sheaf is streets ahead of him

Because negativity and realism is frowned upon here. Its all positivity, rainbows and delusion. Then just say 'in Robins we trust'.
Keep doing you mate, fuck the clique.
I’ve supported Coventry since I was about 5 (about 50 years) my support has never wavered, but it has to be said most of that time has been spent firmly in the doldrums, on the rare occasions the club has done well and performed on a level ‘and sometimes above the level of it’s peers it makes me a happier man.
It honestly has a real impact on my real life away from following City, good times are even better, happy times happier, chores more tolerable, it just makes my life an all round more enjoyable experience.
So genuine question mate, if it doesn’t do this 🤔 what is the point ?

Barnsley fans on their forum suggesting Kitching and Styles will be completed this week for £5m-5.5m

Yeah just seen Barnsley have rejected bids, looking to up the money 🤑.

I mean literallt statistically over the last 18 months hes been the best ball winner in the league. Il find the stats give me a few minutes
No doubt about that, great ball winner who always takes up the right positions, opposition players must get sick of the sight of him, if he could improve his pass completion he’d be high end premier league imo.
I don’t know the stats on his pass completion bye the way, just feel he’s prone to errant balls a little to often.

You just summed yourself up, not everyone has a life full or rainbows and candyfloss unfortunately. You're a stronger man than me if you've only ever have a good time. Must hurt being happy all the time though? How do you deal with negative things? Just laugh them off and drink some hot chocolate. Everyone is different and your post sounds a little patronising.

Quite right, but I think - as shown with Godden - if we’re bringing players in with sizeable fees it doesn’t make them an automatic starter.

There’s also the horses for courses argument that we can vary our lineup based on opposition/fitness. We’ve not had that option as long as I’ve been a Cov fan.

Just having enough for a full bench is quite novel to be honest!

You know nothing about my life but if you did ‘you’d know it definitely isn’t full of candy floss and rainbows, but that’s another story, to be honest my life, your life or anyone else’s life is irrelevant in this instance.
Surely we support a football club as a means of entertainment don’t we ?
Some people might play golf, or go fishing, collect stamps, spot trains or whatever it is they want to do ‘but whatever it is they choose to spend their time and money on is done as a means of entertainment isn’t it.
So when your football club does well and it still makes you unhappy……what’s the point.

Honestly think it's those sloppy passes that will stop him performing at a higher level. If he could rid them from his game you could see him in the prem.
It took him some time to get into competitive thinking; he used to hold on to the ball and get it taken off him and play silly passes that would be intercepted and it’d cost us. His lack of confidence to shoot also cost us opportunities.

That said, for all those faults, his break up play and movement and linking up are top draw. He’ll keep getting better over time.

Robins seems to only chase players who he’s already sure fit in with his ideas & work ethic, think it’s always just as much about their temperament, willingness to learn and positive attitude as it is ability.
Also a track record of improving young players now. That helps a lot.
