wont beat sisu!
Sounds about right to me.
Can't see a way it can be stopped.
And it's a more acceptable end game than most I can imagine right at the moment.
So why don't we let them get on with it and get behind them? That surely means the quicker ACL go down the better, saves more investment in this distraction play about building a new ground, brings the club back to the Ricoh in the shortest space of time - happy days all round.
In all seriousness probably the most realistic and quickest way to bring Coventry City back to playing in Coventry. Can anyone suggest otherwise?

Yes, WE can stop them, with a complete boycott!
The supporters have the power!
So for SISU everything seems to be going to plan.
Refuse to talk to ACL unless they sign the CVA (which will stop any further investigations into the murky waters that is CCFC Ltd).
If ACL sign the CVA SISU will agree to a meeting but with no intent on sorting anything out and continue the Northampton fiasco.
The new stadium is pie in the sky - they will wait 3 to 5 years for ACL to go into admin and then purchase the Ricoh at a knock down price.
They will cream off all the profits from concerts etc for their own pockets.
The football team will be back in Coventry playing at the Ricoh probably playing in League 1 / 2 but with everything run on a shoestring budget.

I'm all for wanting my club settled at the Ricoh but I don't want them merely renting the pitch and nothing else. if that couldn't change then eventually I would expect them to try and build our own stadium then.
Look the point is what you are saying here is just your take on it...you have no facts.
Why is it that so many just take the side of the ACL driven council of this town as right and good and all that SISU as bad? If I am to support my football club then by default I have to support SISU in their stance even if I think large sways of it are bad....because I don't see ACL coming up with anything acceptable yet? So why al this support for ACL? They in my opinion are stopping the club from playing in Coventry as much as SISU.
Dunno why anyone is supporting ACL.
That ultimately has proved our undoing. If everyone had sided with the club at the beginning of this we may have been ok.
Any footballer supporter would not flinch if they went bankrupt tomorrow. I know I wouldn't. Ill never set foot in there again. We used to book meetings there once a quarter. I've cancelled them and have booked elsewhere. If anyone contacts me regarding concerts there I tell them its a dump go somewhere else.
If we end up playing at Northampton. I hope sisu go into financial meltdown and the same happens to the equally greedy ACL.
Be better if we had two complete new entities at the table.

That's right, just give up.wont beat sisu!
We're the ones that are sadly more likely to go down if we move to Sixfields.cant see how or why ACL should go down they don't deserve to :blue::blue:
I know its cool and edgy to talk about how ACL are just as bad and hate the club blah blah blah. But surely the evidence from the negotiations and the very fact that there's been a deal on the table for the Ricoh all along suggest otherwise?
I'd genuinely like to know why they're done wrong. Is it really about the original rent agreement? I thought ben that had been proven to be te clubs fault as they turned down a sliding scale?
Happy to be corrected.

If ACL are as bad as a few of you are trying to make out why don't you organise an anti ACL march. See how many thousands you don't get.
Having worked for a company taken over by a hedge fund, I find it so strange that their due diligence seemed so incompetent, they paid money for a club with debts and who had negotiated the lease from hell £1.2m plus limited access to matchday funds. Would negotiation of the lease as part of the due diligence highlighted to ACL of SISU's true intentions and probably stopped them from getting the club.
It's statements like this that give me little hope the club will survive.
The club was on its knees and took a deal. Ask yourself this. You are in a desert and a man offers you a bottle of water. For this he says you give him your house at home and your family. You are dying and you accept. I assume in this scenario the man has done no wrong?

I used an analogy here akin to "I wouldn't go into a shop, ask how much a mars bar was, eat the bar, and then refuse to pay" when comparing SISU's actions and was absolutely vilified for it. But you my friend have just taken the crown in ridiculous analogies. Thank you, thank you... I can sleep again.
