By the day this place becomes less about our club and more about people vying for internet points.

We are where we are. I don’t believe we’re as good as we think when we win, or as bad as we think when we don’t. I personally don’t see much improvement in the players, the way we play, or much in the way of a tactical upgrade. BUT, whether we like it or not, Lampard is the ~~manager~~ head coach and we need to give him this transfer window and more time to show what he’s made of, simple as that really.

I'm not sure how people can say we're going backwards. We have stopped being so leaky at the back although lots of work to be done in that regard yet.

We have picked up decent tally of points

And whisky people might say were slow and boring we are dominating possession so it doesn't really fall into the category of awful for me.

King is a divisive character and the sacking of Robins is arguably one of the most important events of the last eight years. People can talk about what they want as long it does not infringe the rights of others. I believe there is a blocking facility if you get fed up with a particular thread or observation.

mate we have never been so dull , 12 points from 24 which is a fair return sure but its against much of the worst this league has to offer , 2 points from cardiff and a hiding from pompey included , theres no bounce and im not sure where your optimism comes from

We have been very "safe". From 60 minutes today we should have been pumping crosses into the box with all of the players making runs.

We had sheaf kicking it out of play and then passing it back to centre halves to let them try. Mve should have been getting crosses in at every chance when we had so many up front and in the box.

Listening to people arguing over which manager is better/worse is pointless.

The fact is this "deck" isn't anywhere near good enough, especially with no Wright/ EMC to give us ballance and a goal threat.

MR had years to build a side capable of challenging, and did exceptionally well bar from the last few months.
Frank's been here 5 minutes, hasn't had our top scorer available, lost a keeper to long term injury and hasn't had a transfer window to bring anyone in. Here's an idea, how about giving him some time???

I don't think Lampard is useless I'm not seeing any improvement in the way we play.

It takes months to bed in a new style of play and as FL mentioned, they have to a lot of coaching in games because the volume of games has been massive. Half his games have been played in the last 2 weeks.

It’s not an excuse, there’s just a need for patience with the team and FL. It hasn’t helped that Wright and EMC are both injured, two players that lift the team a good 2-3 gears.

When are we allowed to have expected to have seen some improvement? End of the season? I’ve seen people saying even next year is a write off.

The odds are far more likely that any new manager is crap than not, given that it makes sense to pull the trigger early rather than waste two years and tens of millions just in case.

Lampard might have worked out. It was a gamble. Clearly it’s not paying off. I’m not sure doubling down is the answer.

That's goes back to the club and King not having a vision, look at Brighton, they lose a manager and then they bring someone in who fits the mould and plays a similar way with what fits in with the squad. There's continuity. Swansea did it too a few years ago.

We've brought Frank in who has just failed at his last two jobs and wants to play possession based football, when we don't have the players to do it. Wright and EMC are misses, but even with them, we don't have the players to play the way he wants. I'll say it until I'm blue in the face, we are a really good counter attacking side, yet Robins and now Lampard wants to play slow possession based football.

Couldn’t make it today so had to watch it on Sky. Even their commentary team kept asking why we keep playing it sideways and backwards

With no transfer window up to now, and key injuries, what did you expect him to realistically do by now????

We've lost 3 in 11 since MR was sacked and 2 of those defeats were against teams in the top 6, we've moved away from the relegation zone, and settled the ship, that's actually pretty good progress with the "deck" he was handed.

Frank now knows what's required, let's see what he can do in the window.

Although it probably wouldn't have made zero difference, but not quite sure how the keeper wasted 1.5 mins off the 5 added on and the ref blew pretty much bang on 5 mins.

Same as any manager? A bit of motivation. A bit of tactical nous. A clear plan and system for the players to follow. It’s not Fantasy Football where you just pick XI players and hope for the best.

And we haven’t moved away from shit. We’re in the exact position we were when robins was sacked. Only ten games later.
