It’s a wonder he was ever dropped in the first place, heard something about his attitude being an issue. But statistically he’s been comfortably our best GK and today was a good performance from him, there wasn’t a lot he could do about the goal.

I wonder how many points were dropped because of the Collins experiment?

No, I don’t believe so. Collins first start was against Sunderland because Dovin had a ‘freak accident’ or whatever Rhys Carr said at the time. Collins literally conceded an average of 2 goals a game and there was a statistic floating around that we’d conceded something ridiculous like 15 goals from 17 shots on target.

Then Dovin returned and never got in the team until Boxing Day and he’s been solid in every game he’s played.

Today like the vast majority of goals he’s let in, his defence sold him down the river. Even the visually impaired Mrs BSB called it once the move started

It’s that bad that I really think we’re crying out for Jamie Allen. At least he’d actually move.
Said the same against milwall, actually don’t think he’d do any worse, you could swap him for Eccles torp or sheaf and we wouldn’t be any worse, maybe not playing him because he’s off ? Shame been good for us over the years

I’ve got the video of dovin freak accident but don’t think you can upload videos it wasn’t much

I don't think we would be in much of a different position if doug had left robins in charge points or performance wise and I guess at this stage of the season sitting where we are in the table it would justify a sacking at this point

I do. I expected us to pick up a lot more points even under this seasons robins than we have the last ten.

wonder if Lampard regrets his decision to join us, and the size of the task is becoming clearer.

I imagine King sold him the dream of a top six deck, with Lampard imagining he’s just need to turn up, install some confidence and see improved results.

We need an entire rebuild

Wonder if King regrets his decision to ‘buy’ us

Got lucky when he came in but clearly out of his depth

I just can't see it with this squad it just seems like a total overhaul is needed regardless of the manager can't see them coming good as a whole. We need 4 or 5 new players players who play the ball forwards this passing backwards is fine if you are 3 goals up and are just running down the clock but we are at that shit when we are losing

Defensively we’re so fragile and it’s a piss take, frankly. In 2024 as a whole, it felt like we gifted goal after goal to the opposition.

It needs sorting out asap as it’s holding us back.

I keep saying it but this squad plus O’Hare and Palmer got us out third highest league finish since relegation and our best cup run since winning it.

The passing has to be instructions from the manager or lack of confidence. I just don’t get it.

There is a squad in there but 1-2 players will turn it for us.

Get Wright, Simms and EMC as the forward line and an intelligent signings at CM and CB and team will be looking really sharp.

In attack, we can get the ball to dangerous positions, that final link has been missing since Hamer left and likewise, defensively we miss McFadz organisational and leadership skills.

Right now, we get a player on form and they get injured. Haji, EMC and now potentially even Sakamoto, luck hasn’t been on our side.

In this league, momentum is everything and if we can get some behind us, things will look a lot better.

Surely lampard and the coaches must see it aswell it's no different to the first 14 games under robins. It's a hard watch for 90+ minutes every game. You can see sheaf Eccles torp and rudoni can't all play together then brings on bta plays him on the left why not switch him to the right and play basette on the left. Even Tavares bring him on for a run out for the last 10 mins or do saka was dead on his feet

I'm not sure how people can say we're going backwards. We have stopped being so leaky at the back although lots of work to be done in that regard yet.

We have picked up decent tally of points

And whisky people might say were slow and boring we are dominating possession so it doesn't really fall into the category of awful for me.
Sorry, it it dreadful.

A massive worry though , is our only bright light , of a pretty disastrous first half to our season , is a purchase from league 1 , who only got a chance of a full game , because our star striker is injured !
But when Haji is back , what do we do with this £4.5 mill player in EMC ?
EMC left, Simms and Wright and Saka

Damning stats those. Lampard mentioned about a lack of aggression v Portsmouth (who battered Swansea 4-0 yesterday BTW). With EMC and Wright coming back soon(ish) we are crying out for a midfielder who is prepared to fight and can pick a pass through the lines (and actually get the ball to Saka / EMC more quickly).

Obviously our porous defence needs a rebuild, but what is pleasing is that Dovin's confidence appears to be increasing despite the absolute shower in front of him (Bidwell being the exception).
