The callers I heard were very anti-Wasps though. Even Brummy Nick.

The public image has definitely shifted

Shakespeare

This phrase was coined by Shakespeare, and it first appeared in his 1596 play The Taming of the Shrew: Is it possible That love should of a sodaine take hold? This use features an antiquated spelling of the word sudden.

You’d have to actually refer me to the passage itself because I don’t think that’s right!

He‘s pretty much asked everyone if they’d go to wherever the club played. I don’t think it’s a healthy time for that divide again. Bad presenting all round tbh.
I just put it on

Is this him giving a speech?? Jeez

Reminds me of the end of Jerry Springer where he talks to the camera.

Coventry City chief executive urges stadium landlords Wasps to install new pitch

There's lots of coming out in the media from both parties to save face, but have our owners actually picked up the phone or had a face to face with their Wasps counterparts? Need to looking them in the white of the eyes asking verbally what the bloody hell is going on. I know it sounds simple but I also wouldn't be surprised if it hasn't even happened and would rather use the media to communicate.

I did hear when a caller was asking how we'd fit our 13,000 season ticket holders and all others who want to go into a half functioning St Andrews.

Don't think that will be an issue tbh...

Ok apologies I only read that they've spoken in my quick through the article, must have missed the bit saying they'd physically met. I just hope it's not being continued through emails and there's actually verbal conversations ongoing. It honestly makes a world of difference.

We will not be playing home games away from CBS stadium this season .I would estimate at least half of ST holders will ask for a refund if they did .The cost would be over £1million plus so much bad publity as if we have not got enough. The pitch will get sorted .
Then it will be a £1 million pound law suit against Wasps for loss of revenue which is successful could put them out of business by the sounds of it.

I don't agree with it but judging from Sisu previous behaviour they could well see it as a price worth paying

Only heard a bit but Simon Gilbert said he thinks our offer to help with the pitch funding was to have it taken out of our rent later on so Wasps said no.

Crazy if Wasps have rejected that proposal, especially if they have a legal obligation to provide a playable pitch. I can only think that they believe they’ve got some kind of ‘get out’ although haven’t got a clue what that could be

It would take a couple of years to complete so not a very realistic idea

CWR say they're asking questions to all parties but Wasps are silent.

Didn't hear what was said about groundsharing

Fair enough, at least we tried.

Point taken but how many years of this rubbish we had now? 9 years since Northampton, 8 years since Wasps arrived and still dealing with the fall out. Not sure it would worry Sisu 2 or 3 more years of disruption

It is strange. Maybe them losing out on that rent later on down the line would be worse for them financially than we thought? Or we put extra clauses in?

Whole situation is mental

I thought CWR and Mikey did a decent job tonight. The questions he asked fans about ground sharing are totally real and possible situations.

Do we even know how much the rent is? I've seen talk of £500k for the pitch which could well be more than a seasons rent.

As a presenter, he’s a right to gauge opinion. But when we should all be united in getting this sorted and not leaving Coventry again, it really isn’t time for probably the most toxic and divisive spat between fans on whether they’ll go or not. It’s just not right.

They continually blamed SISU for our exile, cut off callers when Wasps were brought up - @Sky Blue Pete from here had to go on to point out Wasps wouldn’t have us back unless we signed an indemnity clause - Linnell and Eakin both refused to acknowledge it until they were forced to investigate it (probably to disprove it) then even then the tried to make the clubs fault

Exactly.

They wouldn't have a bad word said.
