Only heard a bit but Simon Gilbert said he thinks our offer to help with the pitch funding was to have it taken out of our rent later on so Wasps said no.

CWR say they're asking questions to all parties but Wasps are silent.

Didn't hear what was said about groundsharing
Says it all, Wasps have been very quick to run to a compliant local media in the past, if they now refuse to speak to them you have to question why.

The idea we would just gift a pitch is complete nonsense, if we pay for it that money needs to come back one way or another.

Speculating about playing in Leicester, Brum etc.
The only way we're playing in Leicester is if we share with Tigers which would be slightly ironic. Leicester City have too much money to need rent of us and the extra work it would bring wouldn't be worth the hassle for them.

The silence from them is deafening

That would be really tough as Tigers games are kept away from days when the Fuxes are playing. Can’t see it myself

There's lots of coming out in the media from both parties to save face, but have our owners actually picked up the phone or had a face to face with their Wasps counterparts? Need to looking them in the white of the eyes asking verbally what the bloody hell is going on. I know it sounds simple but I also wouldn't be surprised if it hasn't even happened and would rather use the media to communicate.

Of course they have

Hated anything questioning the Council too. One instance, he started reading a text of mine out, then went quiet, wouldn't finish it and got upset and called me out for questioning them. Same when I questioned the "dropping of the EU complaint"....

He couldn’t bring himself to admit that the Trust weren’t mentioning the indemnity clause for a reason… which was also information that might change people’s minds about going to support the team at St. Andrews.

His assistant was so embarrassed how obtuse he got that she left me a voicemail to apologize.

Surely if we're going to ground share anywhere, it should be Milton Keynes. Great stadium, great pitch, right size, great transport links to Coventry, and our fans travel well there.

She was the production manager I think

Can Wasp not use the Alexander Stadium where the CWG was held while we have sole use of the CBS once the pitch is up to standard. Surely this could be an option as having 2 teams on there once we both get going is just going to cause havoc with the surface cone winter

Doesn't season ticket money get drawn down when games are played? Somebody on here explained how that works iirc.

They would have received the match tickets sales money surely, and that's what they are refunding.

They would still have less in a pot to take from should people have refunds.

No, unless you chose the finance option it will have left the persons account. It doesn't matter where that money is now it will still need to be refunded if we move ground and the person requests a refund. Thusly this money will be removed from the clubs income.

Not seen it mentioned anywhere but as we're renting the Arena from Wasps, why can't we agree with them to REDUCE the next rent payment by £500K and we put that into a new pitch ? They ultimately will have paid for it (keeps them and us happy) and we haven't gifted them anything (keeps our fans happy).

I suspect that is what Boddy has already offered. His statement was something along the lines of helping out with the cost in the short term.

To simplify things:

Club has sold 13000 season tickets and say they are as an example £300 each.

This means the club earned £3900000 in season tickets sales.

If the club moves and say 8000 of these people decide they can not go to where ever the new ground is then this reduces the amount City have earned by £2400000. This will then leave a £2400000 hole in the budget for the running of the club.

It doesn't matter when the club may get the cash, it's the fact that they won't have that cash is the issue.

It matters when they get it as without it there’s no cash - it’s a lot less than £300 a ticket I’d assume

Deduct 1/ 6 for VAT

They won't have the cash because ticket master hold it until game played

£300 is an example used to simplify things

And no for the basic premise it doesn't matter when it reaches the CCFC accounts, it's simply that it doesn't reach the CCFC accounts at all.

Thanks for playing though
