Apparently it’s the Coventry fans who are rattled. Burnley are all over anything Coventry related. Sad.
They’re crowing they’re up by the end of Jan. That’s what £90m+ for being relegated gets you as the parachute payments aren’t made until end of season. Smug fuckers may be right but fuck me, gloating as if it was winning the CL final, classless.

To be fair to them they've hardly thrown millions at it, they sold a lot of players and reduced their wage bill. If they go back to at a canter having not spent a great deal you've got to give them credit

They will be back in the championship in two years, especially if the top six or seven get their way and re-organise the prem to 18 clubs.

Some are crowing in January which is ridiculous in truth but most aren’t .. IF Burnley are promoted at the first attempt the rest of the parachute money due over whatever the payment period is will be paid out to the remaining Championship clubs will it not ?

Burnley sold Wood McNeil Collins Pope for big money whilst major wage earners Tarkowski and Mee left at the end of their contracts .. they’ve more than halved their wage bill and spent around a third of sales on new players

Let’s be honest a lot of Sky blues seem to have taken it personally that the little village club in the North had the cheek to bid for O’Hare .. IF they get back up it will be a struggle no doubt but it will also be the 60th season in the topflight for the twice former Champions of England …

Good luck to you.
60 seasons and 2 league titles and you still couldn’t get O’hare?

I was just making the point that whenever folk from bigger towns and cities (ie. almost every other town out of the four divisions) have finished blubbering about how Burnley are this and that and don’t deserve to play in the topflight .. the game is still played on grass over 90 minutes .

To be fair I’ve no idea whether the player ever wanted to sign for Burnley .. and as he’s been very unlucky with injuries I can’t say whether or not it will go down as a missed opportunity - who knows ?

The remaining parachute money goes back into the prem not the championship that’s why they like to see the same old teams promoted.

Goalkeeper roundabout in progress.....

Stoke have signed Wolves keeper Matija Sarkic on loan on the same day as

Wolves sign Bristol City keeper Dan Bentley on a perm on the same day as

Bristol City have given a loan contract to free agent keeper Nikita Haikin

We don't have a ticket for this roundabout yet. Moore is still here, as is Wilson. IMO, two capable keepers who can play well if they have confidence. And that comes with a stable defence in front of them. 4 or potentially 5 (if the McNally rumour is right) loaned in under 23s doesn't promise that in the short term. A veteran CB, RWB and a replacement AM are still our key roles to fill.

How does that work?

Written at 2.50 in the morning, anyway you want it to :) Meant to type "a deal until the end of season" but brain was running low on everything, including common sense and intelligence.

Toure sacked after 9 games, and fans on the forum suggesting they might reappoint Richardson, whom they sacked to appoint Toure!
Incidentally, Toure was on a 3.5 year deal and refused to leave mutually, so they'll be paying for him and his sidekicks for a bit, too. Surely going down.

You get the impression Wigan are one of many basket case clubs in recent years

The barmiest thing about it all is they actually wanted Yaya but he wasn't interested so they just went "Oh well, we'll just have his brother then". Absolute basket case club.

Cesar Casadei joining Reading on loan from Chelsea. Looks some player from reading up on him just now. Could have been a good one to play AM for us
