I haven’t seen much from Da Silva that says he is any improvement on Bidwell.

Did they sack Ince so he couldn’t renew his sons contract.

If Reading go down it would only be to the level they should be at.

next batch of games:-
Middlesboro v Norwich
QPR v Cov
Millwall v Preston
Rovrum v Luton
Stoke v WBA
Blackburn v Hull
some tricky match-ups in there, maybe another chance to close up on the others or leapfrog into the playoffs

Sacked with 5 games to go ? What do the board expect any caretaker to do with minimal time to fix things ? Sounds like Reading have been paying and playing above their true level for a while. If/when they go down, they really need to start again from scratch.

You’ve not mentioned Sunderland v Birmingham

They're in dreadful form so just looking for someone to provide a short term new manager bounce. Ince is not a good manager so I think it has to be worth a try.

Another one bites the dust.

And so the circus 🎪 continues.

Given that he's presumably going to be unsettled at Reading I was going to suggest Tom Ince as a possible Summer signing, but just looking up on him I was surprised to see he is already 31. Seems to me he has had a fairly unfulfilled career given the promise he once showed.

Guessing they don’t have the confidence in Ince for a relegation scrap. Possibly a victim of their wrongdoings?

Without the 6 point deduction Ince would of comfortably kept them up. Basically sacked due to the board over spending year on year and needing someone to blame.
Not sure about comfortably. They would only be 5 points from the drop without deductions and their form is shite and they've got shite run in. Would have been close.

Mate of mine is a Reading fan and says that Tom has been one of their better players this season.

I'm really shocked at how much all the teams around us are bottling it too. With an exception of maybe Luton and Preston, there is a serious amount of flapping going on.
Preston have been there abouts, but it seems they have come from nowhere, but if you look at their recent fixtures there is possibly an explanation. Wins against Reading, QPR, Blackpool, Rotherham, and Cardiff, and sandwiched between, a thumping at Middlesboro. It will be interesting to see how they do in their run-in, with games against Millwall, Blackburn, Sheff U, and Sunderland.

When you look at Thomas Ince you have to wonder if he would have got as far if his name was Thomas Smith.
