Said on another thread - just highlights how difficult it is for other teams to compete against the relegated sides with the parachute money. Burnley are like a kid in a sweet shop at the minute.

some on here said they’d be bust with the new owners

They still are but are taking a chance to get straight back up.

The money being paid back is 25% of what was initially quoted - they will be very capable of being promoted this season

Not sure Burnley betting on youth is the best way to bounce back especially as they will be changing their system with a new manager. Depends how many experienced pros they keep. We have to go down the betting on improving youth route due to our financial constraints. Burnley should have more room to manoeuvre with their parachute payments.

I think it is a better strategy than betting on old expensive players with limited resale value, seems quite sensible really

Twine is a fine young player who shone in league one. It's a massive step up to the championship. Not sure as a Burnley fan I'd be excited on signing an unproven talent.

But there are exceptions. Remember Dele Alli going to Tottenham from MK Don's in League 1 as a development player then tearing it up in the premier League. I'm not saying Twine will definitely do that in the championship, but he has that special something I think will see him be a top player.

There's no way Flynn Downes is a better player than Hamer. The fact he's a few years younger will add a couple more million onto his price tag though

Crazy that a player who will go to a better team and for more money is inferior to Hamer. Yous lot should be scouts

Two things. How do you define a 'better' team ?
When Hamer goes, it will be 'undisclosed' ?

Bit difficult to establish the parameters for your charity bet. If you asked almost any City fan if they would be happy with a straight swap Hamer for Downes, I suspect you'll find your opinion is in the minority.

Most city fans are idiots so I don’t care about that. I trust the professionals who agree with me.

‘Better team’ would be where they finished last season. Fee would be as reported in the papers.

what a floppy cock you are, u say that most city fans are idiots and you don't care, but here you are on a city fans forum spiting utter shite trying to get attention, I've lost count how many times you have created new accounts. Just shows you for who you are, you sad c**t.
