I think he comes across well in this, he’ll be a good manager and no doubt will have learnt a lot from Pep but that’s a Burnley squad very much in Dyches image and you won’t be able to change it over night.

If Burnley are not too 6 after 10 games he’ll be sacked

I'll settle for staying in The Championship this season, Wasps going t*ts up, we get the stadium, SISU sell us to a billionaire and we go gung ho in 22/23.

It would go something like this.
Council offices.
Wasps are bankrupt so what shall we do with the CBS?
I know we can sell it onto SISU they will give us a fair price. Let me give Joy a ring.
Joy do you want the CBS and a 200 year lease for say 10-15 million?

We will offer you 1 million as it's worthless without us playing here. If you don't sell it to us for that we are building a mega stadium at Warwick Uni.

Sorry Joy that's not enough.

Right were off to play somewhere else within 30 miles for a season or 2 and you can keep your white elephant.

3 months later London Irish buy the CBS for 11 shillings and a bag of beef monster munch. Court cases follow.

Their wage bill was marginally bigger than ours in the last published accounts, think they got promoted 2017 and not been down since
They have always had the smallest squad in championship by a country mile. Quality over quantity. They been lucky with injuries. Currently only about 16 first team players after new signings. Last season worked with just a squad size of about 18 players.

It will be harder to do that (avoid injuries) with a compressed fixture list this season.

One team used fewer players than them last season... No surprises who!

I'm gonna sound boring but I would be happy with a top half finish again this season
That's not boring, it's realistic.

We need to hang on until we get the " fringe players who are never going to play" off the books and release wages to the budget

Takeover talks in the air at Brum, so maybe getting rid of 'rubbish', before new owners take control, and install own man.
Otherwise it's ridiculous timing.

Blues fan at work told me the current owner wasn’t going to sack Bowyer as they didn’t want to pay out the compensation, it would be done by the new owner as soon as the takeover was complete.
