Its mental how much its closed up though

Looked a few weeks back and the 3 in there looked nailed on
Been going to games for nearly 50 years now. Nothing surprises me anymore. Teams at the bottom play for their survival. They end up with a siege mentality. Teams being pulled into a relegation battle lose all confidence. Others look at sides near the bottom as an easy game. Then right near the end of the season tou have the sides with nothing to play for. They're already on the beach.

A team near the top end will fall away. A team in the relegation battle will pull clear of it. The hard part is working out which sides they are.

For me, i know there are lots involved, but its 2 from 4 for 5th and 6th place

Albion
Coventry
Norwich
Hull

Preston, and yes I know we play them next week, but they will fall away. Their goal difference is minus 8 for a start, but they did the same this time last season and then fell away. They arent that good

Bristol City, Watford and Boro are too inconsistent. Could easily win 3 in a row but then not win in 5

And Sunderland always find a way to shag themselves, this time they'll be looking for manager number 3 this season

Out of the 4 for me, i really couldnt call it
I completely agree on the 4 fighting for 2 places

Doubt it. A) they've no where near won promotion, B) they'll want to win the league, C) they'll be aiming to set records, D) they absolutely battered Middlesbrough.
Just saw the stats, 71% possession and 25 goal attempts to Boro’s 5. Don’t see many smash and grab wins like that.

Enzo might wanna consider reloading the save.

What’s that about? Trai Hume is one of their better players and doesn’t sound like he had a bad game today either?

Bizarre behaviour from a manager.
He was at fault for the blues winner. Gave away a freekick then turned his back and walked back as blues took a quick freekick and scored.

I can see why the manager wouldn't be happy with him but still pathetic behaviour.

Best wishes to Mowbray. Not good to need 8 weeks off immediately after a medical check.

On the bright side the fact they’re saying he’ll be back in 8 weeks rather than permanently stepping down must be a good sign
How long do chemo/radiotherapy treatments go on for? Wishing Mowbray all the best.

Mark Venus in charge at Birmingham for next 7-8 weeks as Tony Mowbray has to take time off for a medical issue.
I wouldn’t wish him on even that lot - a horrible, odious man who almost inflicted irreversible damage on this football club

Hope Mowbray makes a full recovery though

Absolutely, wouldn't even look bad on a CV.

"why were you in this role for only 2 months... ah, sorry, I see now it was at Sunderland".
Laughing stock - becoming the new Watford

Micheal Beale has left Sunderland after just 8 games.

Ha ha, you couldn't make it up!

Beale needs to go back to being an Assistant for a while. Or a lower league club.
They over achieved last season with a better squad than they've got this year, yet sacked Mowbray and will be on at least their third manager since his sacking by the end of the season.
