Hadn't realised the scoreboards will keep going after 45/90 minutes so you can see the added time. Not exactly the biggest problem but I'm glad they've finally started doing it.
The efl have made some smashing decisions this year, from the added time, to the scoreboard even the ball balls having a spare ball being required to keep the game flowing and to have as much of 90 mins as football as possible, rather than the standard 45 mins football 45 mins set pieces.

Yeah could never understand why they didn't do it when they introduced those big scoreboards, it's only took about 20 years.

I think it's only a 1 game ban for the 1st red, then it doubles. I've just read that for 15 bookings by the 38th game is a 3 game ban so assume every 5 bookings the ban increases by 1

So 5 - 1 (6), 5 - 2 (13), 5 - 3 (21), 5 - 4 (30), 5-5 (40), 5 -6 (46 - we’ll 51 including the ban rolling over)

So I reckon 30 is the most you can get, unless you can get two yellows towards the end maybe for 31.

Love how me just taking the piss has sparked an actual debate and a possible answer to the debate

Well done for showing your workings out

Part of the new regulations they put out t’other day. They will be punishing time wasting a lot quicker than previously.

I think if you got to 29, then got two yellows in your final game. You’d come back for the second leg, then could get another two. So that’s 33 max including play offs.

I think if a player got 2 yellows in a match after having 28 previously in the season they would surely get more than a 1 game ban

Yeah that’s where it all gets a bit fuzzy. I suspect after a three game ban they’d start wanting 5 and 10 game bans cos you’re taking the puss. I’m fairly certain at that point there’s a level of discretion on behalf of the EFL.

I don't know about a player but these new rules around the technical area might see Adi get near that number

Think Russell Martin was a strange appointment really. For all his nice football he hasn't achieved anything.

Surprised the owls have scored tbh but don’t matter how shit they’re most teams are a threat from set pieces, just remember reading last season vs us,
1 corner
1 shot
1 goal
Ft 1-0 reading 😂

Worst yellow card offenders from last season were Cooper (Millwall), Lindsay (Preston) & Bielik (Birmingham) so maybe we should keep an eye on how well (?) they do. Our worst was Fadz, then Sheaf. Hamer was only booked 7 times.

Like Vincent kompany, managed 1 club before Burnley and didn’t achieve anything in Belgium.
To be fair to Kompany when he took over at Anderlecht most of their better players had been sold and he was left with a lot of players just out of their academy

Well Martin managed a Swansea team with a decent squad and an MK team with a decent squad at their respective levels and got no better than mid table

I don’t see anything to fear about playing Southampton. Had a lot of possession but created fuck all really

think Martin don’t understand the game of football…

in order to win you need to score more than your opponents in the allotted time.

not who can make the most passes
