On second thought I hope Soton go up. Bore the PL with their sleep-inducing football and goal music. If you agree with goal music, I sincerely hope you have a fucking shit Christmas.

They don't half faff about a lot don't they. All the way up to the penalty area and then back again.

Very irritating to watch.
All Russell Martin teams are the same, if I had a season ticket and had to watch that I’d fall asleep most games

Southampton already beat Leeds twice this season, Armstrong is one player I'd definitely have back here.

Looks like a recently relegated team is going back up.
Although that sticks in my throat somewhat, it also means that the 2 defeated semifinal teams (WBA and Norwich) will be close to losing their parachute payments (EDIT Norwich now have lost them), and that should give them real financial headaches with players still on big/prem money.
Think i'm right in thinking that WBA were in a real financial pickle before the new owner came in ?
Also, WBA have 13 players out of contact and 4 loan players going back to their clubs...ouch

Not a pen…player half way down. But the one not given earlier certainly was.
Great pen from Armstrong

I'd rather Southampton go up, always look forward to Leeds at home and always a good crowd, Leeds could be in big trouble financially if they don't get promoted I read somewhere

Leeds are going up aren't they, good they can take their ticket cuntishness and piss off
Don't know, don't care.

As a plastic Paddy and a CCFC ST holder, football's finished for me until next season.

I have no ill will against England or Scotland and I hope they do well, but I'll just enjoy watching international football on free to air TV.

Really looking forward to a nice stress free summer before the madness kicks off again.

Think west Brom didn't have them this year. Just confirmed on TV.
They are creaming themselves over their new owners though

They would certainly be in the top 6 though, can’t say that about Norwich or WBA. So it’s better for us.
Agreed, think Norwich and Albion will be weaker next season.

I expect Southampton to go up via the autos next season, should they lose the final. Think they'll finish above Sheff Utd. Burnley or Luton likely to fill the other place unfortunately - but let's hope not.

All opinions I appreciate but Leeds squad is ridiculous for this level. I know prices are inflated but I'm not sure either had players that cost anything close to £36m (Rutter) and £25m (Daniel James).
Villa were paying John Terry something ridiculous for the first season down. Grealish in both of course who’d have been worth something like those fees plus Tammy Abraham on loan. They had very strong sides in both campaigns.

West Brom according to their forum have only got 15 players under contract for next season and are quite constrained on what they can spend due to FFP.
Yep, don't think it'll be an easy season for them.

Yeah two strongest sides deservingly in the final. Would’ve been a hell of an ask to beat both of them.

For us I think Southampton going up might be better. Suspect they’ll be similar next season, whereas Leeds who knows. You’d think they lose a fair few and could drop off significantly. That said, much of a muchness. Glad one of them is going though.
