The game will be hard don’t think anyone is saying otherwise (although I think all games bar one or two are difficult in this league).

But having a level of confidence is good especially where we were a couple of months ago. Were the 2nd inform team, let’s keep that going

So much for Boros wank-worthy transfer window. Taking more beatings than Kurt Zoumas cat. Absolute shite.

On paper their squad is very impressive; as were some of the Jan signings they made. But it did seem like too many players to bring in when they were already doing okay. The timing of signing that many players seemed a little premature / desperate to me, like surely bring in one maybe two max and wait until the summer?

As we see / lots of people that support us can’t always grasp, I imagine it will take time for their new signings to get going as a group and individuals. I think they should stick with Carrick personally.

Look back. We've won 6 out of our last 7 league games and only lost to Leeds so people are thinking todays game won't be too difficult because they're mid table.

I really hope I'm wrong. Would love to see us cruise to a win. They have injury problems but have only conceded 7 goals in their last 10 games. The good thing is they've only scored 10. Can't see it being a goal fest.

battling 1-0, won’t be pretty, Preston will just sit deep so we might struggle like we normally do, think the bench will look stronger than the starting 11, first game I’m actually looking forward to the team sheet coming out,

Norwich was supposed to have been a 6 pointer.

Talking of Norwich..... Preston beat them at Carrow Road last week. Norwich scored more goals against us in injury time than they had shots on target against Preston for the whole game.
Yes a draw there would of been massive, they'd be 6 points behind us now instead of 3. Blame Latibeaudiere for that!

Ref should have blown for a foul. They spent the whole game giving us a little push as the ball came to our player and the ref hardly did anything about it.

I think that the biggest physchological impact on our season would be a win today against Preston. Footballers are a very superstitious bunch and no matter how much the manager and coaches drill it's only another game, it will be in the back of the players minds that we haven't beaten these in a very long time. A win will generate massive belief in the squad that this is our season.

Just like winning in Swansea a few weeks ago for the first time ever. Doing both within a few weeks of each other would be massive.

Forget the players - I’m superstitious. If we beat Preston I’m booking my Wembley hotel

The defence was badly neglected however and they concentrated too much on the other end of the pitch. Selling your top scorer mid season also isn't ideal.

They lose, we win today only 12 behind them. Time for their collapse.
Looking at their fixtures this is probably their easiest opponent. Having lost to Leeds if they then lose this one at home it could dent their confidence and impact results. If they lose and west brom win they'll only be 8 points behind them so could start to apply pressure from behind as well. Would be funny if they missed the play offs

Well you were bricking playing Preston today!! Nice to see confidence restored.
Look back. I said I thought we would win but a different result wouldn't have surprised me in the slightest because of their recent form. Only 1 defeat in their prior 10 games and only conceded 1 goal in their last 4 games.

Just shows how well we actually did play today.

Delusional to expect a win if I remember! You got it wrong, we all do.
