Early days of course, but Burnley were very good. Would've been more but for Kaminski. Strength in depth and definitely the team to beat.

Idah moves to Celtic and Rowe banished to train with the kids for refusing to play on Saturday. Norwich not a happy camp right now.

Watched Luton vs Burnley highlights and have to say Burnley looked very impressive. They can easily walk this division like they did the last time. We really need defensive reinforcements pronto if we have any playoff aspirations.

Burnley at least showed a way to negate Lutons press,; albeit they had some decent players to pull it off.

The last time I thought we'd do well in this league was the first season after relegation. We beat Stockport 2-0 and thought it would be easy. It wasn't then and it means little now. I genuinely believed we would get off to a good start this time, but let's not panic just yet.

Norwich lost their first game at home to Colchester 7-1 and walked the league that year. It’s just started. Luton may well walk the league, Burnley looked very good as did Wednesday and United.
norwich chmaged their manager after that game and brought in the colchester manager

Luton look poor though

We aren’t as good as we think. Many teams have proved they are far superior to us, even in GW1

Completely agree, talk of the top six will be unrealistic unless that midfield area is addressed

otherwise top 10 finish

Sheffield united, Burnley and Sunderland look particularly strong

I'm impressed that some people can tell all this after 90 minutes.
Is anyone predicting Luton and Norwich will be in relegation trouble?
And what about Leeds, conceded 3 goals and couldn't beat a promoted team at home.

I thought by some of the reactions on here that we were already eleventy billion points adrift after all the other 23 teams won at the weekend

I was taken back by how poor we looked , not so much how good other teams looked .

It was a worrying performance imo but too soon to dismiss our chances .

We must improve and fast

I will start to be a bit concerned if we don't beat Oxford but you can guarantee the first and last games of the season throw up some strange performances and results.

Leeds set to sell Georginio Rutter to Brighton - Big loss for them

Even more baffling is they signed him for £36m and slapped a £40m release clause into his deal🤔

Average in the Championship but is worth £40m to a Premier League team.

I think Brighton have dropped a bollock. 😱

Hardly average

He got 7 goals and 16 assists in his last 47 championship games , that's pretty good for a 22 year old

compared to other forwards

Crazy that Doug had to fight to sell Vik for £20m but clubs like Leeds continuously sell average players for ridiculous sums of money like that.
Gray and Summerville were far from average to be fair

Summerville comfortably the best player in the division last season imo

Probably a request from his agent, seeing Leeds as a stepping stone. Wouldn’t be surprised if the clause requirement was due to the team not getting promoted back at first time of asking as well.

Read from a Leeds fan that Victor Orta (old DoF) was that confident of retaining Prem status that in the summer of 2022 all new signings had a clause inserted into their deals which enabled them to leave on loan with no wage contribution from their new clubs should they be relegated
