Has he signed a very lucrative contract recently? Surprised he’s still in his position.
Just checked and he signed a new 4 year deal in June, reported that he is one of the highest paid managers on £2M per year. In that case they probably won’t be sacking him sometime soon.

Oxford fans also think it's baffling they've sacked him.
Genuinely no idea what the owners expect with that team. I thought they were doing pretty well and for a while were higher in the table than us.

Oxford manager sacked, seems very harsh
I went to uni with an Oxford fan

They are being evicted from the Kassam in 2026 (end of next season) and he told me if they do not get planning permission for a new stadium then he really worries for their future

I do think they kind of stumbled upon being in the championship, I remember playing them in the cup last season and they looked dreadful, so for me it’s harsh to sack the bloke who got them here but I get it’s a result business and them being in the Championship may well be imperative to the survival of their club

Could be the perfect fit for Mark Robbins after the Sisu experience.

All kicking off now. Not champ but Southampton have sacked Martin.
The sack race is getting into full swing now, I am thinking Doug was right to move early and have more choice in the market.

Bristol Rovers have sacked boss Matt Taylor after their defeat by Birmingham left the club two points above the League One relegation zone.

Taylor, 42, was appointed on 1 December last year on a three-and-a-half year deal and oversaw 10 wins as the club went on to finish 15th last season.

However, Rovers have won only six out of 19 league games this season and the 2-0 defeat by Blues was their third straight loss, leaving them 20th in the table.
Shoe in for Robins.:ROFLMAO:

That's Luton going above us in the table then, they went up 5 places with that win!

Or perhaps proving that Derby were not the galacticos we made them out to be?
I was impressed with Derby's application last night. They seem to be more than the sum of their parts. Vert good work ethic; didn't let Luton bully them. Definitely deserved at least a point.

I’m sure they usually do it.
Yes - they have this mad system which increases the price of a ST every 2 weeks (?) or so, that increases the pressure to buy one early, or you pay a ridiculous price nearer the start of the season. Won't be long before he's starting to charge over a season in advance!

Don't give Doug ideas like that. 😬
