They wouldn't. ACL wouldn't do a deal last year. They tried to put the club into administration. They made their best offer when they knew it couldn't be accepted.
You can't have your cake and eat it. ACL want the money from MM & GR (£300k) + £590k + dropping the JR without any indication whatsoever of their willingness to make a deal. They already have the bargaining power of support and the stadium etc.
SISU drop the JR and enter in negotiations without any sort of bargaining power. That's unless ACL are in a worse financial position than is made out.
If ACL really think they can prosper in the
long term without the football club, then the world really has gone mad. That is some kind of bargaining chip there. You cannot have proper negotiations with someone who constantly wants to drag you through the courts. We could argue about how the admin came about, but that is gone now (in my view it was SIsu's way of breaking the lease and dictating the admin process).
Agree, they can't have their cake and eat it. I put something on another thread that they have to accept whatever the FL decide is the appropriate amount, and then crack on with negotiations. But, Sisu need to demonstrate a willingness to return through removing the spectre of continuous litigation. Otherwise it's this time next again folks with the same conversion.
