Confirmed on Northampton Web Site http://www.ntfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10425~2775684,00.html
More wages freed up!
And you think that will go towards getting players in?
That just means we need another player to bring in. Transfer embargo permitting of course.
Ady seems impressed with his goals / game record.
"He is very experienced, he is a leader on and off the pitch, he has a fantastic attitude and anyone who can score more than 100 goals and play more than 600 games is someone to respect."
He was offered a new contract and he has chosen to join Northampton which even shows our limit of ambition even more so.The truth is if we had kept platt it would show the limit of our ambition. He has signed for a struggling league 2 club. A player with commendable attitude but poor use of his physique and a very poor finisher.

This shows just how far we have fallen.
Back to back relegations people - you heard it here first!
Platt out.
Eastwood out.
King out.
Juxey out.
RoD out.
Who needs strikers anyway? And who's left to play alongside Cody in training games?

Development Director Steve Waggott said: "Andy Thorn expressed his intention to Clive that he wanted him to remain at the club but ultimately there was disparity on the length of contract the player wanted and what the club was prepared to offer."
"I'm sure I speak for the manager when we wish Clive the best of luck at Sixfields."
What a shame top player.
Dont blame him 2 years or 1 year with a club that may fold in the next year. Also we probably said to him here is the contract offer but it is on the provision that we get a budget so put your life on hold and turn down other opportunities whilst you wait.
Only positive I think he would have been only able to play 1 in 3 or the last 20 or 30 mins of matches so not as bad as if cody goes.
He has to be replaced though. I make 9 replacements we need now.
4 loaness and 5 free transfers
