I would say I would rather see my club do better than England. Shame because they are both s@@t. At least England play there home matches in the right country

I've always said CCFC and England go hand in hand.

To me, they are both my footballing world.

Both are mediocre with zero success (in my lifetime), and never fail to disappoint, but I love them and have incredible passion for them both :)

You definitely get the same feeling....

"WHY THE FUCK DO I BOTHER!!!!!!"

then the next game..... "C'monnnnn"

That's what makes us football fans :D

I am really not too bothered about England these days. Probably because the level at which City play has been so far removed. It was far more relevant when we had players who were in the squad. The overpaid, strutting prima donnas who constantly underperform at international level have made it so I have little interest. I never watch friendlies but do watch them in World Cups and Euros. It seems to me that playing for England is a chore for them much of the time, so it has become a chore for me to watch it.

Yep, can't argue with that. IT must be a real bummer to be Welsh though, knowing you are never going to qualify for anything. Giggs never bothered much either.

maybe he could apply for english citizenship? I wouldn't mind :)

As I am currently in Brazil and haven't been to Northampton yet, I suppose its country at the minute.

genuinely gutted for those who have traveled out there to support the boys, the money, the risk, safe journey home :)

but the Brazilian girls are worth it I assume ;)

But we play in the right country. Just not in the city or county we should.

Both equally, though at least with England I only have to be upset every 2 years.

Just with England the defeats are so much harder to take. With the City you know another game is coming up the following week and the week after that and so on. 46 games.

With the games that matter for England you get just 10 qualifying games spread over a year and a half and then just 3 in a tournament. Makes the defeats more painful. No 'next week' to put it right.

England everytime. CCFC are just a shambles. A club with a total lack of ambition and zero regard for its fans. But i only feel this way since the move away.

England have potential but very rarely show it.

Both let you down time after time. They both reek negativity and a losing mentality, expect them to always be shite and it doesnt matter when they both lose. :)

Personally my love affair with football is dying full stop. My love for England started to die with the shambolic displays at the last word cup and a certain player giving it the "you can't boo me don't you know who I am" line, OK he didn't use them exact words but that's what he was saying. Personally I hope he gets dropped for the Costa Rica game and hopefully it gets shown how over rated he is and how he's a hindrance to the England team and not the player you build the team around. Maybe then with the fresh approach I start getting my love back.

With Coventry. That love is harder to shake, I guess long distance relationships are always harder to maintain.

Been a love of both for me, but though my love for my country will obviously never die, my love for the the Sky Blues is on the wane and that is simply because the club has been taken away from me.

Don't do away matches so the detachment is completely total. At the moment it feels like I have no club for the most part. We have players playing for us who I don't even know or recognise.

As the saying goes mind, 'there'll always be an England.'

Come on Otis - basically all you've got to do is live longer than SISU are with us and then you can rekindle the love. I'm now determined to live until I'm 110 just out of spite, so I can see the fall of their empire !!! I'm going on a strict diet of mung beans, soya and cranberries, and limiting my lager intake to 12 cans a day to ensure my longevity!! :)

Oh, don't worry. The love will rekindle. Just at the moment it sometimes feels like we have no club.

As soon as we're home I'll be back.

Club all the way for me, fed up with England always letting me down.
Never even watched the game the other night as just knew we will throw it away.
Feel sorry for those fans in Brazil, but they should try being City fans.

Club just. I think it's the fact that you're club plays week in week out a roller coastepulling at your emotions. Whereas England play a lot of meaningless friendlies in between playing European fodder in qualifying games every couple of months.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - so please excuse any spelling or grammar errors :)

When England won the World Cup we were promoted to the old Division 1 the following season ........................ so, roll on 2019 :guitar2:

Oh - I forgot we've got shit owners with no ambition

Club by miles for me, I have never been a big fan of international football apart from tournament time and would never think of watching a friendly game.

Both - the two can easily co-exist together. That said if we lose all our players to international call-ups when we have a crucial away tie at Rochdale - that could change.

For me they go hand in hand. Overall though I do think this country needs to get behind the national set up. I'm not saying the fans don't. The authorities should stand up to the clubs and ensure they help the cause.

I would say both on an equal footing for me. Followed CCFC since I was a kid and had some great times and some horrible times. Also followed England away from the mid to late 90's and that was different but just as good but always had a different feel. Away with England always felt more exciting as it always seemed like everyone was against us.

My relationship with both is pretty much identical: love them to bits, can't stop supporting them no matter how much they hurt me. Continually get my hopes up for no reason only to be inevitably let down. I feel right at home as an England fan. I reckon it's worse for the Man Utd and Liverpool fans that are used to supporting winning teams to be honest.
