The fact is that until SISU can confirm if they will fund the club next season the accounts cannot be filed. If SISU do not confirm funding then the accounts will have to be prepared showing the club either as a non-going concern or as available for sale.

Both of these have a sizeable effect on the way the accounts are put together. Not surprising that they will be filed late.

Also, it's been a few years since the accounts were aubmitted on time anyway.....

but it wouldnt matter if they sold the whole team, we are terrible. anyway the mesiah hofman will be putting millions and millions into the team. wont he??

i mean his track record at our club last time he was here showed how successful he was???

No, he won't. He is trying to mediate between a consortium of investors and SISU. In actual fact, both parties (i.e. the neutral, but interested, consortium and the involved, and 'interesting' SISU) are interested to see where the Club is next season, obviously enough. He had a role on the board as Vice Chairman, trying to take the Club in the right direction, and mugged off by SISU (conjecture, your Honour, upheld). I understand your frustration, but try not to damn what would certainly appear to be the only creditable alternative to SISU (in the same way that it is easy to slate Nimely before he has kicked a ball in anger).

Would envisage this scenario running to the middle of summer at least, they will weild it as a big stick to play on our emotions ,attempting to drive the ney sayers into purchasing season tickets ,leaving us once again with a stagnant transfer window ,players to come in LOL, joining too late to get a decent pre -season and gel on pre season tour ,but hey its ok this is how commerce works ,all and everything focused towards their agenda /benefit,the detriment to the squad /manager ,its only football ,how can it possibly matter.

Crikey, what a mixture of different opinions and clearly a wide variety of understanding of business.

However, for me the most likely explanation is the one offered - i.e. they are working on the budget. This can only be made more difficult given that relegation is probable but not certain.

Yea but no budget is set in stone, budgets are altered all the time depending on circumstances.
It sounds to me as if the owners are reluctant to fund the club at all for another year regardless of division.
Granted I have limited business knowledge.

the real reason to me is obvious - the club would be forced to make a statement in the accounts re post balance sheet events . ie the state of negotiations with Hoff . as they do not want to do that at the moment - they will delay the accounts . Until the hoff bid is successful or other - the accounts will be delayed - same as at the last takeover

Accounts are made available prior to any potential buy out.

That's why The Manhattan Group walked away.

Spot on - the so called Hoffman bid is just rubbish. He clearly does not have the funding. He is reliant upon "overseas investors" (so I am led to believe), and so here we go again - another faceless consortium with a hired PR guru in the form of fans favorite Gary Hoffman. It is just rubbish. He has been asked to put his cards on the table now for months and all we get is Keys tweeting "it is a bit more complicated...it will take longer...be patient" - yeh - take as long as you like - but put up or go away cos I am sick to death of the will he or won't he pantomine.

All this nonsense about SISU out - well unless there is a credible alternative bidder, it is a ridiculous campaign and one that will destroy the club.

Just my opinion - so shoot me.

And yes, I have had a bad day.

I think SISU have carried on with the destruction of the Club started by the thief Richardson but I do not believe that Hoffman is anywhere near making a bid for the Club with other people's money and certainly not with his own.
I think he has done as much as SISU to ruin the Club: not just when he was a Director but ever since. His actions and Keys' moronic tweets will have put off anybody else who might, just might, have been interested. It was time for Hoffman to put up or shut up a long time ago. All he has done is raise hopes and ensure that SISU remain with ever fewer routes out.
I fear liquidation not administration.
And if that happens Hoffman will be as much to blame as SISU, Richardson, McGinnity and Robinson.
